Ayton was really good tonight. He was able to not pick up his 6th foul in the 4th which was a huge key to the Lakers winning. The lob threat is overrated - he's a good enough lob threat and his ability to finish with that soft touch from anywhere close to the paint is absolutely elite and just opens up the game. Just a really solid performance on D and the glass, etc. I don't think he's a lost a center matchup since game 1
That'll do Very efficient. Few more rebounds would've been nice against the smaller lineups the Blazers were running against us but that's nitpicking this one.
I thought he was fantastic. He was aggressive from the start, he played under control and like he was a former top pick, like he belongs. He’s never going to be perfect, he has lapses, but man, we don’t win without that performance.
My best hater impersonation: But but Ayton is not as good as Wilt or Shaq and and he hasn't scored as many points as Jabbar. And I am smarter than everyone so if you don't ....... blah blah blah!!! Great game, great season so far and he is holding his own and giving us something we did not have and needed.
Outstanding revenge game by Ayton against his former team! He was so good tonight. If not for a bogus foul call or two he would have put up 30 plus.
Really solid pick up and at the right price He has found the desire to play hard again with our team So glad for him and the team and we are seeing it unfold
He was really pissed when they called him for a tickety tack foul for his 5th. He also was talking to Knecht about how he could use him to protect the rim instead of getting a silly foul. He definitely has lapses where he tries to get a little to cute or finesse too much but he seems committed this year Credit to JJ with him. Monty Williams and Portland really didn't seem to know or care about trying to get him to a positive but he's been terrific
Well, I’ve had to pour a ton of hot sauce on all of the crow stew I’m eating. All of the “motor and heart” issues have seemingly dissipated with Ayton’s move to the PNG. I’m pleasantly surprised and hope that he keeps this up all season because if he does, we have a real shot at going really far.
Weren't man enough for a whole family of dead crows sushi style? That's where OX and Astros are headed with the Bronny can't play basketball period, let alone NBA .... hating. Bleep the olives. I've been claiming by next year, if not sooner, let alone 6 more years to prime. And get mocked and laughed at. Looks like "sooner" has said, "hold MY beer"
