no. i think the gap between him and doncic is smaller than it looks right now, though.

jokic got a team custom built to his unique strengths (and weaknesses), and they took off on his individual brilliance. doncic has had the isle of misfit toys to work with basically up until this trade deadline.

but yeah, jokic is an all-time great. it's totally bizarre, but true. think about how many slow/pudgy bigs are going to be drafted in the next decade in the hopes that they'll be him.

I wonder what arvidas would have looked like in the NBA at a younger age, when he still had his athleticism.

from what i've read (and a little of what i've seen), he'd have dominated. especially in that era. jamal magloire was an allstar back then. greg ostertag started on one of the best teams in the league for years.

Yeah, Bryant Reeves was a starting center for 6 years and averaged 16 & 8 in his best year. Daddy Sabonis would've been a monster pre-injuries if he came over sooner. Probably jostling for his way into the 4-6 spot for 90s centers. That was such a murderers row --
Shaq, Hakeem, Robinson, Ewing, Zo, Deke.

Sabonis would be Wenbanyama, but at that time.He would destroy Jokic and would average 30,15 rebounds and 10+ assists easily .

yeah, he was basically like jokic but maybe more mobile? supposedly by the time he got to the league and took a physical, he would have qualified for disability benefits (not an exaggeration).

look at him come over the top on a couple of those dunks.
