New Lakers Owners Discussion: Kushner + Iger

Where is @Toklat? I need some misplaced and misguided optimism over here.

 

it is in their best interest for the lakers to be a winning team, but yeah, i really don't have much faith in these guys to prioritize winning over making money

 

The Lakers are a cache cow even in down years. We all know that (e.g. Turner deal and such), so... we might be winning despite these pieces of human excrement.

Uh .... NO. This is all about the troubles Mark is in elsewhere. For an APEX competitor, allegedly, like Mark, you don't buy the premiere franchise in SPORTS that you have had a stake already in, to turn around and dump it for a quick 2B.

 

so what happens to jeanie? what happens with the deal she had with walter to stick around as governor?

 

I hope she's still here for that 5 years or whatever, following this out of left field from outer space sudden development.

 

Definitely points to something being off with that investigation. I’ll just wait for Pablo to drop a video.

Also, while this is shocking I’m still glad Jeannie sold

 

I feel like whatever is happening also played in to us not having a fully fleshed out front office at this point.

The Jeannie sticking around stuff may be over and that may not be bad. I never liked that and was always more in favor of just cleaning house. So many unknowns with these guys though so it’s hard to say who they’d hire.
