I bet it's because he sold his first Lakers ring for his mental health cause or charity? What a great owner Jeanie is. Players 1st and Lakers family.

Netflix produces some quality stuff. I’m looking forward to this one for sure.

It’s available now. I laughed so hard on this one:

Start of the 2004-2005 season, Artest is on self-destructing mode. Jermaine is fed up with Ron. But Reggie, being the leader of the team, tries to contain him…
Reggie: I’m pleading with these guys. Get on the same page! I could not get them to understand the opportunity.
Ron: I never listened to Reggie. So any time he’s, like, giving me leadership and mentorship, I’m thinking, “ Bust his a** in practice.”

    Wahahaha. Man, I miss him!

Does anyone remember or have a link to when Ron Artest interviewed Kobe Bryant way back in 2008? I remember watching it back then, but can't find the interview.

I watched the Netflix documentary last night and it reminded me of how I felt when this happened. It was unfair to put the blame on the players when it was the fans who started throwing beer, chairs, going onto the court and confronting the players.

In any other scenerio in life, if you throw a beer at a person and he retaliates by punching you in the face, you deserve it 100%.

Just because they were players doesn’t mean the fans were entitled to treat them worse than animals at a zoo.

Another thought was now we are extremely conscious as a society of Black Lives Matter and social injustice, how the police were extremely biased and thought it would be a better idea to try to mase Ron Artest/Reggie Miller instead of prioritizing getting the players out of there safely so the crowd calms down

Not only that - just watch the media coverage... man, some of those guys were quite racist back then.

yeah, if that idiot never throws the cup at artest none of this ever happens

although it was funny learning that it was jamaal tinsley who told artest to foul one of the pistons players hard. wallace only getting 6 games for starting the whole thing was BS. he should've gotten way more than that

Back then?? Like somehow, they aren't now all of a sudden? Just sayin'! That was not that long ago, people don't really change that quickly.

They are, but I guess it's less obvious. Like, in 2005 it was pretty overt and unapologetic.

In my opinion, anyone who throws something onto the court or at someone or rushes the court or baseball field or anything needs to be banned from ALL major sports arenas, for life too, depending on intent. I’m tired of these complete fools who take it too far or idiots who think they are all hot s*** f*** YOU.

Okay done ranting, carry on. :)

I remember when we were all wanting the Lakers to trade Bynum AND Odom for him....Instead we flipped Kwame Brown and change for Pau Gasol (yes, I know Marc was in that deal, but no one expected him to be the player he was). We were so desperate back then.
