WTF?????? How will Brob, Luca and AR share the ball now? Will they trade AR now? We have almost no one to play C/PF now...Who will rebound the ball? Gonna miss Max- he became a solid starter- better on D and MUCH better on O...Luca is also injured, having weight issues, attitude issues, not ideal on FTs and he plays no D. Now we gonna have Bron and Luca who don't play any D....( Confused. Is Rob planning more trades?

Well, at least I can get some sleep the reminder of the season.

 

Dunno. It's still open in the West. If we can get some kind of center...I think we can make a run. Bron, Luka, AR and our wings can do some things. All depends on what happens this week. Asset wise, we still have a lot of options between now and the deadline to address the center position. There's a lot out there too.

I don't think we can be in the mix for a 'ship, but think we can make second round and be in the mix for WCF depending on our goals this week and his the bracket breaks.

 

I strongly agree with the last statment- we lost 2 best players on D and the only scoring big. They have better traded Bron for Luca LOL

 

We still have a few days to round this out. Pretty exciting stuff.

Been a while since I last wrote something around here, and it's currently 3:45AM where I live, but daaaaamn... complete shock here.


I love AD and all he brought to the team. But this is Luka Doncic... you just have to pull the trigger. He's 25 and has a Hall of Fame career. AD is 31, and we're barely paying anything else (I mean, I Max Christie was cool, but he's nothing in the extent of this trade)

That said, I do agree I don't think this really makes us better this year. We have pretty much no frontcourt and I'm not sure how Luka and Bron will share the ball, considering they're both pretty ball dominant and I don't really see LeBron taking a role similar to what Kyrie did on Dallas with Luka.

On the other hand, AD got his center (actually, 2 very solid centers) and I think he could work really well with Kyrie, so maybe Dallas can get something out of it.

That said, I can't believe we pulled this off. I can't believe Dallas was the one to actually call.

Even if we don't improve right now, I don't think we had a real chance to win anything as we were. I agree with other people here calling it a bit of an end of an era and the start of a new one... and I'm fine with that. It's not even like we should be completely horrendous right now.

I'm still in such disbelief, that I still feel there may be a part of the story that has not been told, because I really don't understand why the Mavs would trade just like that the face of their franchise, and I just can't buy the things I've read so far.

 

Well it certainly shifts the type of C we're looking at.

Rob can tell DA he just got Luka for only one first, so stop being a f***t*** with his asks.

Don't expect Indy cause they don't like us either.

But a guy like Capela would EAT on easy lobs and p&r with both Bron and Luka. He's one of the better defensive options out there.


You can't replace AD. He's DPOY, regardless of vote. But I don't think this ends our season. Luka will be back before the All Star Break.

 

I do love that we get to continue to torture Gobert.
