    Every Laker MVP in Lakers history has won the MVP when the team was a 1 seed EXCEPT the last year a player won an MVP on a losing team in 1976. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

    The Lakers could field an all time top 5 team in the NBA and there have only been 4 players who have won an MVP for the Lakers. 8 total. 6 of those were Kareem and Magic. Pretty sad. East Coast voters and those pigs in the Ohio area have cost Laker plays several MVPs.
