JJ develops players, there's this idea that he doesn't because he hasn't played Vando / Knecht / Adou. Knecht played 20 mins per game for 78 games in his first season. That would be top 10 in rookie minutes for the year, he just regressed after the trade - and teams scouting him. Vando has regressed greatly on offence, athleticism and even regressed defensively since we got him. He just isn't a great player, I don't blame JJ for not playing him. Adou was injured for large chunks of last year. Over the last 2 years JJ has: - Played Christie extensively before the trade - Guided Reaves into becoming the third/second option (when Ham wanted him to be a bench player) - Started Rui - Played Jaxson alot - Brought Goodwin through into the first team - Gave Reddish, Jemison, Koloko a chance in 25 and NSJ & Bufkin a chance in 26 This year he has Adou, Carr, Ziaire, Bronny & Kaluma that will get burn over the year. So, let's judge it then. Back to Vando... maybe he is better this year in a better defensive strategy... but he hasn't been great defensively since his injuries and has been downright terrible offensively. Like does damage to the team terrible. I can't see teams signing him at 29 to anything more than the minimum when they could take chances on young picks with upside. I think he is out of the league if something doesn't change.
