Maybe I"m just a skeptic now, but I wonder how serious this knee injury is or if the Sixers just want to go into Ultra Tank Mode. I wouldn't put it past them.
If he really is undergoing surgery, then I'd say it's serious. Even if the 6 week timeline is overly conservative, it's still the right thing to do.
So it's a small tear in the meniscus. I'm not sure exactly how serious that is and I think in a lot of cases the timeline here wouldn't be 6 weeks so yeah I think you're right, but I also don't think it's a really big deal either. Nothing that should keep him from being successful next season. What he really needs to do to save those knees is get in better shape.
The thought crossed my mind too, but there's just no need. They are too far ahead in the tanking-ranking at this point.
