He just so looks so small against this giant TWolves team - TWolves remind me of the Bubble lakers squad where they just bigger and faster all over the place.

if he could rebound like Kyle Lowry used to despite being small I'd be ok going with him but since hayes hasn't been playable, rebounding is going to be a problem with him as he's not a good rebounder at all

Yeah, but he and Dorian are out there playing really hard. I can't get mad at them for missing an occasional shot. I feel they really contributed in game 2. Gabe, in particular, increased the energy of the team as soon as he entered the game.

i said i'd wait until the playoffs were over before i rendered personnel decisions, but i'm officially out on this guy, i think. i talk a lot about how i like his toughness and team defense--and i do!

but in the last game, he gave up a straight line driving layup to alexander-walker. in a playoff game. you're not employed to do such things. some vet min can do that, man.

anyway, he's an expiring contract now. along with kleber, that gives us 22 million or so of that, which is nice to work with. we can replace him with anyone. anyone at all.

Yeah. He's had plenty of chances. And honestly will get another in Game 5. You gotta show it on the floor especially now.

Hes probably a good fit for a team like the Wolves but in this Lakers team they need a PG with more size and rebounding chops.

Bring Hedgehog back he's an UFA. He's been awesome in Detroit and they might now bring him back since Ivey should be healthy next year.

Yeah, I didn't think he was worth the salary before the playoffs and ESPECIALLY don't think he's worth it now.

He's too small for his sometimes try hard D to translate consistently. His 3 is on and off. He's trade fodder.

I also think Goodwin and Bronny will have larger roles next year and can eat some of his minutes.

I look at the pool of the following: CP, DS, Jevon Carter, Dinwiddie, Joseph, Fultz, Ty Jones, Monte Morris.

Financially I'd rather invest in a bigger guards/ wing who can guard down as a POA. Out of those 9, you should be able to get one for cheap who will be good enough.

i don't want schroder back and don't understand people's interest in him. he's one prime case where the eye test is just 100% wrong. he grades out negatively on offense and defense, consistently, everywhere. if you watch, you notice that he's into people, but he can't really keep people in front of him or challenge shots, and he's not great off the ball, either. on offense, he's a bad decision maker and bad shooter from deep. i mean, i suppose at the vet min it's ok, but even then, he has a way of getting coaches to play him too much, imo. i guess they see the same things most fans do, and i'm the one who's wrong. i just feel like i can see why his advanced numbers are always unimpressive--he's just not a sharp player, and it's hard to win with those now.

now that luka's here, i'll replace gabe with a non-pg. rangy defender who can finish plays. not sure who that is right now, but i'd be looking for younger players who have gotten squeezed out elsewhere and need a fresh start. some of these teams simply don't have the roster space for all their developmental players/recent picks.

i'd take someone from your list as an insurance player, but honestly all those guys are guys i would have picked for an AD/lebron team, not a luka/lebron team.

edit: will okc be able to keep ajay mitchell? if we're replacing gabe with a pg, this is a name that interests me. i'd also kick the tires on deanthony melton coming off the acl injury.

Yeah, that's why I'm wanting to swap out an 8 figure position for a minimum salary slot. We need to devalue the position, especially next season when I think we stagger the minutes better of our three ballhandlers and my expected growth of Goodwin and Bronny.

Camara and Ellis fit that young defender with a s*** team description (Blazers, Kings). Then you take whatever of those 9 will take the minimum for depth, a different pitch, and injury insurance. I think CP is in a separate tier due to resumé and IQ and I like Carter a decent bit, but all of them are fairly equal and flawed players... it's why they're at that price.

Regarding DS, yeah at his price point now he's terribly flawed. Most Laker fans nostalgia that, just like Dwight. But for the min, he'd be fine.
