i'm missing the dylan harper stuff, clearly. i'm sure he could end up very good, but the little bit i've seen this year, i wasn't super impressed. maybe i only saw his bad games (totally possible).

anyway, amen thompson is going to be a two-way max salary player, so...it's not happening even if we wanted it to.

we'll just sign reaves to something near the max or at max and be happy.

yeah, i think there are lots of armchair gms who just see things in terms of value-per-dollar and think reaves will never have this level of value again. partially true--he could still get better (as he keeps doing), but his paycheck is about to nearly triple, which limits what you can do elsewhere.

this matters not at all to me. when you have a guy who produces like him and is a high character guy, you just pay him and be glad you're not offering other teams your next 7 first rounders to try to pry him away.

I think some of the AR haters are simply internet dart board idiots. Take a weird position and ride it like a bull. If somewhere, down the road, you somehow manage to eventually be right, due to unforeseen circumstances, you can run around with your chest out screaming. SEE I WAS RIGHT AND YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS!!!

We can be better than that, and THAT is exactly why I left LG and quit viewing it. I concede, I look in around once a year.

 

It’s like people don’t understand that every single season, MOST of the rest of the Franchises are praying for a guy with his exact same skill set to BUILD THEIR ENTIRE TEAM AROUND for the next decade.
