Rumors are Luka tells the kitchen staff that all of the guys that are out injured will be there today and then he takes their food also when they don’t show. Waste not, want not.
He’s in a bad funk since he came back. Like, you can just see everything is off about him. His shot is so off the moment it leaves his hands. Not sure if it’s confidence, or what, but we need him to play much better if we want to make any noise. Come on Austin, we all know what you’re capable of, get back to that soon please!
Reaves needs to get it going. He will start to come under fire soon if he doesn't. Pre injury: 32/7 on 43% 23/7 on 54% 20/5 on 42% 23/5 on 50% Post injury: 8/0 on 15% 16/2 on 41% 17/10 on 21%
I love Austin, and maybe this is just his recent poor play, but i read somewhere on here about J Brown for Austin pkg lol. C bags would laugh at that (being objective here), and J Brown is probably 2 full levels above AR (if we’re discussing both players overall at their best).
Of course you always want to level up, I just don’t want to trade Austin for the sake of trading him lol like some crazy Twitter suggestions to trade him for mediocre centers lmao
The *most interesting* of fans want to trade players who MAKE THE TEAM GO. This is why it's hard to have good conversation in chat forums. Austin is a damn star level player who holds his own playing next to Lebron and Luka. How many players can play WITH those two and not get lost or try to do too much? Very few. Dude is the ultimate 2nd/3rd level player on a great team.
He's not right yet. Getting back in the groove post injury will probably take another week or two. Given other injuries, that's going to be painful. What he can do is attack and try to force the whistle. I thought it took him too long into the game to come to that realization tonight (even with some iffy officiating).
Austin only missed 3 games, (counting the injury)it shouldn't take a couple of weeks to get back into the groove. Something is off. Maybe he wasn't really, ready to come back yet?
Calf strains are tricky. Just ask Luka. Austin's wasn't as serious, but he's still reeling from it. Clearly.
I would sit him and Luka for the next 3-5 games. They're both injured, hard to get back in shape/groove when u play hurt.
LOL .... here Austin is an "attaboy" at least for the 28 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Welcome back. I was entertained.
Thought he was nowhere near aggressive enough in the first half. I know Luka was cooking but to have a chance against any of these teams ahead it can't be your turn/my turn. We're too thin and lack any offensive punch outside of those two, he needed a higher level of aggressiveness from the jump. That first shift without Luka was U-G-L-Y. Now that that's out of the way, fantastic second half. Thought he woke up and ramped it up. Unfortunately we need more with who's out. 30 is the floor of what we need from him, not the ceiling.
Was absolutely awesome in the second half. The first half was so poor, I thought "oh man, here is another horrible game where he shoots 10%". We had no chance of winning it, of course, but it was nice to see him step up to the challenge.
