I think the Lakers looked at Reaves And Luka. Those are your franchise cornerstones that are there and will be there. They are both trash defenders. The front office said we have to protect the perimeter. After Smart retires you have to replace that.

We have to guard. Shai!!!!!! Castle!!!!!!! Harper!!!!!! Edwards!!!!!! We don’t have a choice. We gotta build this s*** up.

Adou Thiero Cameron Carr Bronny James. We are taking care of the perimeter.

We got Ayton Hayes. Serviceable big men. The perimeter play is where we got destroyed. Glad we’re taking care of it.

this is what the Knicks did. Gotta help out Brunson. So Rob’s being proactive.

Lakers should try to also get Brazile, who is a 6-11 version of Carr.

Fans are just disappointed because young players are rarely able to contribute anytime soon in a meaningful way

Drafting so late you go with who you think may be the best player. Not by need. That drafted player odds of playing and making an impact right away is low

I wanted a big, but I guess all the good ones were chosen by the time our turn came.
Let’s see how this kid pans out.
I would still like our FO to find an undrafted, or player who gets cut in training camp from another team who’s a big that we can develop. Yes, we have Thiero, but we don’t know what we have yet in him.

The Spurs picked up two nice big prospects and OKC drafted another 5.

I don't know anything about the draft guys, can Carr defend? I saw he is a shot blocking guard? What are we talking here, like Wade?

On defense, you play Luka on the weakest 3 or 4 and Reaves on the weakest guard. Can Carr guard 1-3 and take the tough option?

In the best case scenario, you can develop Carr & Adou to be really athletic wings to go with Reaves & Luka. If Bronny can develop as a backup 1 in the Marcus Smart mold, we would be golden.

We should try and pick up a Thomas Sorber or Ware if he becomes available as a young center to develop. I'm optimistic about the young guys for sure.

He has a 7 foot wing span and can jump out the gym.

The summer league team should be entertaining. We might pick up a mini steal in the 2nd rd if we can move up.

    That's fantastic.

So from what I've seen, great physical tools, great shooter and athletic. His problem is, he isn't a good defender, but is that an effort or IQ problem?

The first we can solve, the second his athleticism can bridge in the NBA somewhat. It's easier to become a good defender than it is to become a good shooter in my opinion. Quietly optimistic on this pick.

Man, we literally got the best athlete in back to back drafts:

    - Adou has a 7ft wingspan and a 41" vertical at 6'8
    - Carr has a 7ft wingspan and a 42.5" vertical at 6'4
    - Bronny has a 6'8 wingspan and a 40" vertical at 6'3

Can we invest heavily into coaching for these guys? Adou needs to learn how to shoot, Carr needs to learn how to defend, and Bronny needs to improve on both sides of the ball. But that's some serious athletes.

Sums it perfectly. So you’re saying you want to add Tom Thibedoue to the staff.

With Carr, maybe it's not ideal to go out and sign Ellis now. It probably needs to be somebody Iike Melton our Thybulle in addition to Smart.

    Very key building the wing.

for the Record Ayton was pretty good against Wemby and the Spurs 22 points 10 rebounds. 3 blocks. You need a center that’s going to make him work. I don’t think it’s about running Ayton out of town. I think he opts in. Maybe just signing that Center to compliment Ayton rather it be Williams or Robinson.

We need the shooting for Luka and athleticism and defense on the perimeter. Can’t get it all at once. Gotta get it when you can.

I think making our team deeper is what it’s about and that’s what we’re doing.

I’m hearing comparisons of Bridges with Carr with his athleticism so we shall see.
