For what he has shown so far, this seems to be a pretty fair offer. The kid is set for life and can still earn a couple more huge contracts during his career.

Also, as an aside, it's worth noting that Tari Eason shares the same agent as Jalen Duren. Who we just so happen to know Luka has apparently been contacting and campaigning to go join the Lakers recently, going off that one Pistons camp comment that was passed along to ESPN the other day.

No idea if the Lakers manage to successfully get Duren this summer, but I wouldn't be shocked if Duren and Eason wound up being primary targets for the Lakers FO this summer.

Miami need a pg now. Colby white is available. Trade for
true but who would have been his options with teams being cap strapped. At this rate players can only hope the get paid from their present teams.

i really like the glimpses i've had at beringer. he looks like he could actually end up being pretty special. but probably not this year.

but again, i think they still have some tools to improve the roster, so i don't expect that this is the team they start the season with.

edit: their beat writer claims they won't use that exception. if that's true, that's a bit of a problem, i think.

well, he's 26 and signed a 5 year deal, so...this may be it. i actually thought he'd go for something higher and shorter, like 3/80 (starting around 25). in one of my fantasy builds, i had us offering something like that, figuring it would be enough to scare minny away. clearly we weren't going to do that, else his agent would have known.

as svtzr noted after the claxton trade, it's really hard to get a read on what our plan is right now. it's obvious FA is largely mapped out already, given what's been happening so far. so we're down to us basically going after one or more of the RFAs or operating over the cap. and as hurricane billy just said, with no rumblings nor announcements about rui, kennard, or lebron, it almost feels like the former. like, are we going to throw a max at duren? i actually think detroit would match it, though...

    How good is Tari Eason?
    AI Overview

Tari Eason is an elite, high-energy two-way forward for the Houston Rockets, renowned as one of the most disruptive wing defenders in the NBA. He provides immense value through his defensive versatility, elite rebounding, and efficient corner three-point shooting

why would the rockets let eason go or trade him for what we'd offer? they have 185m committed right now--he could get a deal starting at 25-ish per, and that just takes them to the first apron.

now, when thompson's first big payday arrives, they may have to make a choice there, but not now. they should just let RFA play out and match whatever he gets offered.

Would be nice to get Stewart and Ware from the Bucks if Herro goes to Detroit. I'd throw 2 picks for that.
Hope they like a center or 2 in this draft and are happy to take Ayton to make them a little better right now.

I still think Bucks should love Ware, smart thing to do is bet on him and he might be part of their next core or at least increase his value to a few firsts with a strong season or 2.
He only gets paid in 3 seasons. But have seen crazier things in the NBA. Rooting for a center pick by Milwaukee
