Since Brunson is pretty close or the same as Luka according to you and much better value, are you trading Luka for Brunson?

 

Alright. Maybe I'm over hyping this guy a little bit, becase Lance is a free-agent. We could just go sign that guy.

 

The most other teams can offer Reave is 4 years with 5% increases on 41m. It’s basically 177m contract over 4 years.

We can probably offer him 5 years and 200m and he would sign with us. That’s a starting wage of 34?

 

Jabari Smith does not playing shooting guard… he is the SF/PF on that team, same as KD.

 

My mistake, it's Thompason who plays the 2 on that team. In any case, Smith and KD both seem pretty mobile for their size. KD played 2 early in his career i think.

 

KD was put as a SG in his first season because he was about 100 pounds haha. I don’t like KD, but to be fair, he has kind of been a unicorn in his movement on the court, the guy is smooth for that size. Really impressive.

I would be highly shocked if anyone is in the draft that has the grace of movement that KD does at 7ft.

 

We can’t have an honest discussion about Luka and Brunson after what happened to Luka. Really???? The guy tore his f***ing hamstring. And was having arguably the best statistic season of his career. You do realize he led the league in scoring. 33 points a game. Michael Jordan type s***. Our team was on fire. We were going to be a legit force. That f***ed the whole season. It was Kobe Bryant sitting with a ruptured Achilles watching Dwight get swept by the Spurs. It was a gut wrenching playoffs.

We finally peaked and looked like we had it figured out. Luka was unguardable. If you watch the Miami game what were we down 20? This after the Bam 82 and Luka went insane on them. One of the best offensive performances I’ve seen. I just didn’t like Luka having that basketball team with Donny Nelson. I just think his focus should be on playing basketball not running a team in Europe. That sounds like post career. But that’s just me. Couldn’t see Kobe doing it. And I know it’s off the court stuff. And LeBron owns the Red Sox and the soccer team. But just thought it wasn’t the best look.


I will say this the technicals need to come down because he’s too good for that. Jalen Brunson is nowhere near in the discussion as Luka Doncic. The Don no way. Easy easy


Brunson didn’t even have a great series against the Spurs he had 45 in a closeout. Luka gets that on a Tuesday.

I keep saying this. Have your debates but the number 1 thing with Luka is figuring out how to stay on the court. The soft tissue injuries are a thing. So ima tell yall right now. If him playing a whole playoff championship run means him not being Gary Payton on defense sign me up for it. We need him on the court. Let Jarret Vanderbilt handle that. Let Adou Thiero handle that. Let Marcus Smart handle that.


Jj Reddick has to get his s*** together. Luka should’ve never been in that game against OKC. But Jj has to protect Luka and Austin be a man. Hey if one of you guys are on the court I have to protect you with wings. If Austin has to be Ginobli so be it. But Luka should always be playing with elite defenders.

We can’t bring up the Jalen Brunson he plays with the best 3-D wing in the league. OG Anoubly and he has Bridges on his other side so stop.

As Kobe got older we protected him with Trevor Ariza Lamar Odom and Ron Artest. We also had elephant anchors back there in Gasol and Bynum. And still managed to get him Dwight Howard when Bynums knees were shot.

So Rob’s gotta get off of his a** and get Luka some help. But Like I said before in my prior post. Adou Thiero has to develop as Bynum did make that improvement and be our 3-D. All of yall talking in this discussion. Yall better be watching every summer league game of Adou Thiero I want daily reports. Let’s see where this kids jumper is at. A lot hinders on that.

Shai is one of my favorite players. Selfless. Team first. Accountable. Sets the tone. Leadership. It’s never anybody else’s fault. I love the kid. He is an MVP. That’s how you build a team through him. He’s leadership.

Now there’s no way in any NBA I would trade Luka for Shai. Luka is better than Shai. Lukas a better player. Luka can do everything on a basketball court offensively.

look defense isn’t his thing. Magic wasn’t the best defender. Defense wasn’t his thing. He had Cooper and Worthy. I think one of the reasons Jerry West didn’t take Dominique Wilkins in 82 was because he worried about his defense with Magic he knew Worthy was a better defender. So Rob’s gotta start making decisions about defense.

yall was talking about my boy Austin Pete from Arizona. That’s what I’m talking about. No not the sexy offensive guy. We don’t need offense. We have plenty of offense. 3 of the best scorers in the league. A center who can get 20 when he wants to. Get me a guy like Austin Pete who just wants to play defense against you and be athletic. That’s what we need. Start putting defensive athletic teams players around Luka. And we’ll start sizing up championship rings. Arizona was one of the top defensive rated teams in College basketball last season.

 

I prefer VCR better. He is both a horizontal and vertical threat. Pretty awesome skillset. Imagine if KAT was a lob-threat. That could be this guy. Let him be Kessers back up for years to come, those bigs can't play too many minutes. Good to have depth there.
