it would be partially semantics re: the ordering on rui. if we sign him first, that number will have to fit under the cap with the kessler trade and the mamu and grimes signings. we only cleared 2 with the ayton trade, so that's not much to work with. we could stretch-waive vando and sign rui for about 9 per, i think? that may be competitive with his other offers right now, plus retaining bird rights.

interestingly, you could do that AND trade knecht/laravia/2nds for S&T'd kuminga, i believe.

but i think rui/kuminga is either/or, as both players would want the same role here, and we don't want that kind of competition on the roster, imo.

I love the idea of Kuminga as a poor man’s LeBron but he never panned out for some reason with two teams, seem uncoachable. Rui on the other hand is very coachable and has proven time and time again to be a playoff performer, in fact the greatest 3pt shooter in playoff history while no one in the new additions have proven they are playoff performers in fact the ones who played a little in the play offs sucked lol…I don’t know the thinking behind this off the cuff rebuilding instead of just adding to the core sans LeBron

So wait, what does this mean? Is a S&T of Lebron still alive if we sequence the trades and signings in order?

I brought it up just because it is humorous. I wouldn't want him back for free...lol.

Yeah. I doubt we will be in the play in. Honestly see us landing in the top four again minus a season ending injury.

The signings and draft picks we made were good overall.

I get the concerns as it seems easy to get in JJs doghouse. I think it’s worth the risk though with Kuminga. If we can’t get a deal done then bring back Rui.

well, we know SA and okc are basically in the top 6 even with some injuries. we know what houston's team is. we don't know yet what denver and minny will end up looking like. i think we're the sixth team in that mix. with the warriors trying to make moves to get up with us.

phx and portland would like to join the party, as would utah, but i still have us ahead of them. i lump dallas in the bottom of that group with NO.

mem, sac, and the clips don't look like they're going to be in the top 10 mix unless something drastic happens.

so yeah, i can't say where i expect to finish until our moves are made and den, minny, and gs finish their offseasons. if we have injury issues, we could be play-in. if not, i think we're safely in the top 6 with even modest roster tweaks (e.g., no kuminga, etc.).

This is fair. I actually like us more than Houston or Minny but can definitely see that race being tight.

Again, despite my criticisms, I’m very bullish on Luka-AR-Kessler.

Yall gotta put some stuff into perspective. If Cam Carr hits we are golden. He’s a star. He can shoot and athleticism. I’m not capping. He should’ve went top 10.

He’s a very good player. Lebron in my opinion would be a fool not to go back to us. We’re the top teams of all the teams he’s considering. This isn’t a pitch to LeBron. It’s common sense. We have a deep squad we’ve added Carr, we’ve added Sexton Kessler Grimes he would be the compliment. We’re got the 3-Ds we have the lob Center rim protection. What am I missing here???

Lebron gets in over his head too much and thinks he knows basketball. It’s ignorant. Like why would you s*** on people and fracture relationships. You’re a billionaire.

one thing about Kobe he had an ego. But winning was above all. He didn’t care if he had Gasol or Shaq. He valued Lamar Odom so much because he was a winner.

Lebron has other motives and this whole Rich Paul fiasco isn’t letting him see it.

Anyway I’m gonna beat my drum here. Camm Carr is the key. Don’t let anyone on here ever put him in a trade for anybody except Wemby.

What makes me go nuts is Cam is the perfect player for Wemby. He can shoot and athleticism.

When I was talking about Kobe and thinking about him. I looked at Cam and heard him talk and I said I’ve seen that confidence before. I’ve heard that confidence before. I’m sure Rob has heard it.

I remember my boy who went to St. John’s they had a tournament against Baylor in Vegas he had floor seats. And Cam was telling his boy Nobody on St. John’s can guard me.

his confidence is off the charts. Love this kid. He’s so polished. Now obviously it’s gonna be a learning curve for him.

But more than Thiero. I would say not since Brandon Ingram have I looked at a kid in summer league and say yeah he’s got it. He confirmed my workout.

I saw at the combine it was Kobe s*** he was dominating scrimmages.

mute perfect Let Carr Luka Reaves and Kessler grow together.

the real one two punch is Carr Kessler.
