This Laker team ain't close to worrying about fit right now - they have serious lack of talent

I’m banking on Adou Thiero and Cam Carr playing great. You add Grimes and maybe a Kaminga now you’re talking even a Zaire Williams. We have better defense on the Wings. Still have Reaves and Luka.

Remember we played great with Luka and Reaves to start the season when Lebron was out. So this is what you want this is what you got.

We also gotta factor in we got Ayton coming back. No Lebron he probably goes back to a 20 point a game scorer.

more of a New York Knicks type team with more balance. Let’s see who else we sign.

Once Austin got the bag to avoid being stuck in the middle Lebron had to go. Unless he just felt like a regular 42 year old on limited bench role minutes. But he is not there mentally on that mold.
No not really. just not a top tier team. Middle of the pack with 52mil ?

yes they are. Did they not played well without Lebron last season? they are not done. Last year team was going to be a year older on the growing Spurs and OKC, Healthy Houston etc. If they resign Rui, look for bargains like they did last season top 6 in the west. Luka avg 40ppg in a month is fools gold not sustainable and on top of that a disgruntled Lebron.

@JSM what's good? Yo, you're the dude on Youtube, huh? Don't deny it. I see your X posts under the same name too. Good material. Monetize that sh** dog. Shoutout to @LTLakerFan and the homie @ElginTheGreat.

Aight, I saw this news and had to dig in a bit because I'm like what?!?!?. Either way, I asked my friend "Claude" to do some digging

In the event, Duren wants to wear the purple and gold and we want to S&T him. Relationships, relationships.

they beat a bunch of teams who were bad or were hurt (twolves without ant, spurs without harper and fox). The real run was before the OKC game when they had the big 3 going and Lebron was awesome. Their 4th best player was Smart. They are significantly worse right now then they were last year

For what?Honestly.. besides the fact that we can offer a big contract; why would Detroit prefer our 2 future FRP, a better deal than landing Sabonis and 1 FRP? That doesn't make a lot of basketball sense to me. It's looking like Kessler or bust.

yes they are worst in a short run. The offseason not over. Smart was a waived player, Ayton was a waived player. Luke was a mid season trade, So yes on paper they seem worst. But last season they were not going to win a title. I mean they had a shot but still unlikely. they lost all 8 games to OKC, had the worst diff of all contenders. Sure they could hang. But i will stress playoff games were not called like regular season games.

Luka and Reaves fully healthy? IDK, I'm giving them a 30-35% chance.

I think Smart just gassed out because he had to take such a huge load scoring and being the only perimeter defender.

Same with Kennard who was more suited as a 3rd-4th option scorer on the lineup but had to be the 2nd primary scorer because of no Luka.

At the very least, I think it would have gone to 6 games. Just not having Luka forced everyone to play at a level they weren't capable of and OKC just overwhelmed them.

So if your team is built on guys getting under paid it cannot be sustained.

If Davis was healthy we would have made the finals a few more times. Here is the deal. We know when the games get physical Austin and Luka game gets questioned. Luka knee starts bleeding Austin gets less efficient. JJ did not trust Van and was sure to send Ayton to the bench. 30-35? IDK Austin was crying about refs with the little amount of games he played. JJ was lobbying for Lebron to get more calls.

I already see that " Austin doesn't really fit with Luka"! Is going to be your 27 campaign mantra.

The reporting has sounded like Detroit is pretty adamant about keeping Duren, that's why I had started to feel like Kessler may be the more viable target. Curious what a second meeting for Duren tomorrow means for the Kessler pursuit.

Are we still early in the pitching process and haven't convinced either of them to sign yet? Or optimistically, both players are salivating at our offers and we're actively negotiating sign and trades with both Detroit and Utah.

He can fit if the other guys are defensive and athletic. The thing is we have never seen them in the playoffs setting with success. This was their second playoff Run. Remember no center. Ayton was to be that guy. The same guy JJ had losing minutes and the same position they want upgrade.
