To be fair, the Knicks didn't shoot great. If they shot their average percentages from these playoffs, it's a blow out too...

 

Game 1 looked like one of those mid to late 2000 slug fests. Tough defending, lots of missed shots. In the end, Brunson sealed the deal for the Knicks. What a clutch player.

Spurs gotta figure out a better offensive game plan. You can't let Wemby chuck like 9 threes (KAT did a great job today) and bench Harper when he was playing well.

Fun start to the series and nice to watch something other than OKC basketball.

 

I don't think this is over yet, not by a long shot. Wemby is going to give it his all this series. What it does show is how young and undeveloped the rest of the guys are. Castle, Harper and Vassell are good, but in 1-2 more years of experience, they're going to be just too tough.

Also Spurs aren't as deep as everyone said. They're mainly running 6 guys with spot minutes for Kornet and Keldon Johnson.

Typical Finals game between two good teams - a lot of sphincters got tight and people started bricking open shots, I mean did anyone think Barnes of all people would finally hit a critical 3 in the finals??. When wemby got going going NY, including Brunson, couldn't score till they got Brunson an open look, ironically off him tapping an offensive rebound to a teammate.

should be a fun series but the Knicks are basically like kyrpotonite for the spurs even with Wemby finishing strong Knicks between OG, Robinson, and KAT have a team that can counter him with a lot of different looks

 

I said it before and I’ll say it again.The Spurs should trade for KD.Using Fox as the main piece going to Houston.They have everything but a true go to guy

San Antonio needs a shooter.
