he was definitely involved in sending luka out, and the new owners can't fire themselves.

i've never thought kidd was a good coach, and he seemed to be eyeing FO roles, so maybe he agrees, lol!

Gianiss would help. Luka and Gianiss would do good.

I get the point you need superstars. Ajai Mitchell didn’t win that game. Carter Bryant didn’t win that game. It was Wemby.

Shai Chet and Jalen decided it.

if you can get a top 5 guy you do it. I get Slicks point.

my point is Gianiss and Luka will be on a timeline together. Luka needs to win here while Gianniss can still play or he’ll bolt and go to San Antonio and try to win with Wemby.

so if you get Gianiss or Jokic he needs a superstar to win with him. Not Austin Reaves that won’t be enough.

Right now we’re the phoenix suns and Seattle Sonics in the 90s we’re competing but are we gonna win.

The plan is to bring Reaves back and make a play at a Watson and Robinson And Williams and see what happens with Luka on the court healthy. The most important thing is getting him on the court.

But the way this is going I do see the Lakers trying to make a quiet last pitch to Gianiss.

We gotta make sure Luka has as many shots at a championship while he’s here. I think Walter Will try to do that.

his window is right in the middle of this OKC Spurs juggernaut. What you gotta hope is they run into each other and cancel each other out in a championship playoff bracket.

And maybe you catch them gassed or your guys get hot. You can beat them with ball movement you just have to make your shots. San Antonio.

this will be the biggest off season of Luka Doncics career.

Vando has shown he can handle a little bit and also distribute, I think he is better than Herb here. He is also a better cutter than Herb. They both get steals that lead to a dunk. Herb is a slightly better shooter and more athletic from a vertical leap point of view so he finishes better.

When Herb was hitting at 40% from 3, he was a perfect fit. The last two years he is shooting 30% and Vando is at 29%. Neither are good offensive players, not sure why we want to argue that Vando is terrible and Herb is a little less terrible.

Vando is also a better rebounder and offensive rebounder than Herb. While Herb is a better overall defender (but when Vando is on, it’s not by that much). To me they aren’t that different, not sure if I’m wrong or if people are thinking of Herb from 3 years ago?

    Great points.

I want to clarify that I don’t see LeBron in the mold of those guys, more so his weight and ability to defend Wemby. I’m looking for 6’8 guys that are strong as hell and have more weight than Wemby. Caruso was really succesful keeping him off his stops, those 6’8 265 pound guys can do the same. Even Randle and Zion could give him issues, he is huge but not particularly strong. His center of gravity is so high, it’s easy to get below him and make sure you can’t be moved.

I like your concept, but do we think Luka and Reaves can score well on 3’s off the dribble? Also what happens when Wemby straddles the middle, just enough to jump and contest but not so far that he can’t get back and challenge the roller from behind.

In the high pnr with Wemby, I’d be trying to pull him wide for a cutting back player from the weak side. Luka and DJJ use to do this all the time. Adou or Lebron or a new SF could be perfect in this foil.

I do think there is ways to beat Wemby, you just have to have the shooting to punish them when they play Zone.

I mean, I admire the attempt, but that’s almost all dunker spot dump offs and putbacks…

the clips I posted of herb were not that and not from three years ago.
