Get a grip all of you. If you ALL can just panic unreasonably in knee jerk fashion after us already making the moves we have .... (I am going to assume that through Duffy, Luka and Rob this whole buyout was planned, it didn't just drop 2 days ago into sorry a** Rob's lucky lap) (because if Ayton was the malcontent he seemed to be in Portland [who wouldn't be in that dumpster fire]) .... what would be his incentive to give up ANY of his contract this year?) ..... wtf: Nance is absolutely a terrific add for the minimum. Plays good defense, can play the 5 in a pinch, improved jumpshot. Just a kind of guy you want for playoff calibre opponnents

 

No offense taken but I’m done waiting. I cannot remember the last time free agency wasn’t a string of embarrassments for the Lakers. At least that’s how it feels. And here we are, in the midst of Hot Center Summer, with every decent team sitting on two quality big men, and we’re reduced to hoping we get that bum Ayton who we will live to regret signing. Day one of free agency, yeah, and we’re already hearing about 2027…

 

Surplus center? Does that exist in today's landscape? We see legit teams hoarding centers like they're infinity stones. They have. 2-3 good ones now. Hope we're reading those tea leaves correctly. No clue who it could be where the center is the throw in to a deal that would get rerouted here.

i actually think there's going to be a center bubble of sorts after all this. it's going to burst on teams employing a bunch of them, imo, and on teams that pay a ton for mediocre ones (e.g., poeltl).
