We gotta push and try to get out the first round so we can play in the second round and see if we could get Luka back for the second round.

    I’m hoping he can try.

I hate it when I'm right about stuff like this...

How many times do I have to repeat myself and explain that Giannis is even more injury prone than Luka? He's not help at this point. He would not be the Shaq to Luka's Kobe, he would instead be the anchor dragging the Lakers to the bottom of Davy Jones' Locker and slamming shut the team's window for winning a championship for the foreseeable future.

Agreed. Whoever trades for him is getting him at 32, which is the end of his prime (prime is generally 28-32). He can be elite for the next 3 years, but he will be fading over that time rather than ascending.

Meanwhile Luka is entering his 28-32 peak. It’s crucial we build around him well this offseason and start contending. These are the years he will be at the peak of his powers.

I think we treat the next 2 weeks and round 1 of playoffs to see who we want to keep. All of Smart, Kennard, Rui, Vando, LaRavia, Ayton and Hayes are going to get real burn. We need to see who we keep and who we let go.

The other big question mark is LeBron, does he want to stay for 15m? We should put our cards on the table to him at the end of round 1 and see where he is at.

Then we can start figuring out what holes we have and how to fill them. We have lots of flexibility this year; 50ish million in cap space, three 1sts and a little bit of salary we can trade too.

My expectation is we go into next season as a clear top 4 team in the NBA.

need to go all in around luka this offseason, because his injury history is starting to get worrisome and who knows how much longer he has until his body completely breaks down

They don’t need another star they need to become a deeper more physical team. They have the means to do that this off season .

the crucial luka window is the next three years. we can't afford to waste any of them. i always saw this year as a punt year, and it's become a particularly weird one (actually pretty enjoyable given my expectations and some of the extreme lows). but we need to show up on opening day next year feeling like we're closer to the top teams than we were this year.

With AR out 4-6 with oblique, I expect us not to win another game this season, incl playoffs. It just looks bleak AF right now. O! How things have changed since last week!

Already making my transition from diehard Laker fan to NBA fan who will be rooting against OKC and BOS.

all depends on price, and unfortunately two-way players are valued very high right now around the league.

If teams are asking like 2 or 3 first round picks for elite 3&D role guys, I wouldn't be opposed to taking a swing on Giannis instead.

I'd rather have Giannis than two role players.

Shout out to the excellent Denver vs Spurs game. Just awesome to see two great teams going at it.

I’m hyped for the playoffs, I honestly felt like we were going to have some classic series with OKC vs DEN and LAL vs SAS. With the conference final being an absolute fire cracker.

It’s a real shame to be robbed of our part in the dance as I felt we really gelled and would have something serious for the playoffs.

Definitely rooting against OKC and their team fans.
