Wow, that sucks. Recovery seems to be 2-10 weeks depending on severity.

Pistons are likely going to fall into the 3rd seed right now. Should be an easy win for the Lakers but it would have been a good test.

Why aren't B2B games strictly home games? Seems ridiculous teams have to travel, get a few hours rest, and be expected to play a grueling game.

Would be less of an issue if they're both home games. NBA could totally schedule it that way or start the season a bit earlier to avoid B2B games.

CJ McCollum missed 5 weeks with a collapsed lung a few years ago. That was the 2nd time it happened (odds increase for injury to repeat each time it happens).

Bad timing but the injury sounds worse than it is. I once walked around with a collapsed lung for nearly a week before I went to a Dr and learned what was wrong.

Will likely just have to wait a couple weeks for imaging to show it’s healed and then get back into game shape. Definitely possible he’s back by the start of the 1st round.

Perfect outcome for us. We needed him to play like garbage, in order to minimize leverage for Houston. Still could be an option though. He's almost like a medium version of Vando/Rui combo if that makes sense. Still only 24, and could improve his shooting. His shot is not completely broken like Vando, or even a Herb. I mean he is a role player. Are you going to pay a role player anything more than 25 million? Probably not. Lakers night be able to get him at a good price.

I want to believe that Lebron has bought in to playing off the ball (finally) and we win the chip, and he comes back for 20-25 million. That would be the ideal path. If we make a respectable run, or win the chip, then we should learn from our past mistakes and not get too cute trying to improve the team. Having Lebron come back is optimistic, and is the more fun path. And I am all for that. It is preferable.

But if Lebron does leave, then we would need somebody with length to defend the bigger forwards. Eason should be on that big board, as a buy-low candidate. I would put players like Anunoby, Watson, Eason, Wade, Risacher, Grant, Rui on that big board for now.

RFAs are not buy-low candidates. if the rockets move on from eason it will be in a s&t for a piece they need, imo. not in a "let him walk" RFA offer.

man, those guys...so much good fortune...like every top east team looking meh at best down the stretch.
