It must be nice to have a good front office. Maybe someday, we can dream

This FO couldn't even conjure up a roster spot for a player they had and liked - after bagging the big fish time to coast

Ehh they’re still not beating Detroit without Tatum.

Utah with a Kessler/JJJ front court will be a block party, those two combined will basically be like Wemby lol.

I don’t know what this means for Markennen either, he’s more of a power forward and if they plan on playing him mostly at the 3, Markennen might have issues defensively.

I also think this means Nurkic will more than likely be bought out after the deadline. Nurkic would be a solid buyout candidate for the Lakers in case we can’t count on Ayton in the playoffs. Nurkic has a completely different skill set than Ayton and Hayes so it would be interesting to see him with Luka and LeBron.

Let's see if they can put that TPE to use; don't they have 1 full year to use it?

PO's and Regular season are different animals.

However, Detroit is new to the dance in a sense. It would be an interesting series, IMO,

Lots of movement this deadline, things still to happen:

    Harden for Garland
Cavs to get rid of some guards?
Bulls to get rid of some guards?
Minnesota seems to be trying to make something happen?
    Grizzlies having a fire sale?
    Houston wants a point guard?

Plus what about all the other teams that want to improve too.

lakers should really move on the allen piece. There's oppurtunities to get a good guard as well on the cheap as some teams have a glut now.

Not every trade is for a star or season changing. They got a solid player to help now for someone they didn’t want long-term, they got cap relief, and they got an asset with the TPE, there’s zero downside to this, why mock it like that? They’ve stayed more than afloat, they’ve stayed competitive after losing Tatum, they’ve managed to keep a lot of their title team together, like why is it bad to acknowledge a really good front office and wish we were making the same type of moves?
