I don’t include Gabe or Vando among this group since I’ve seen both contribute to wins last season.
We also don’t know if Kleber is a negative since he played like 10 minutes for us last year.

I'm giving the Lakers an A with getting Vuc or Horford an A+.

They essentially improved their roster without giving up any assets or committing long-term.

I don't know if they are contenders but if everyone shows up healthy and ready, there is no reason this team can't be a top 4 seed in the West.. Luka looks healthy as he's ever been, Ayton has something to prove playing alongside a lottery pick of the same year and a contract season, Reaves is also playing for a contract, LeBron likely will be delegated to doing less so he can stay healthy....

So you are still 'contenders' without sacrificing short/long-term options.

Just unreal how bad these guys are with money. Almost feel the union should force them to pay more in dues and increase the pension to protect these guys from themselves.

Then again they'll probably just takes loans against future income and screw themselves either way.

Morris got paid over 100 million. Assuming taxes and agents fees that still 50 plus million in straight up cash. You just save 10 million of that and you're taking home half a milliion to a million just off investments yearly

Best defensive playmakers graph. Prepare to cry

Btw, would you guys pay AC the same we may/will pay AR?
I see AC as the perfect pair for Luka but when it comes to payroll not sure I would go that far. Offense seems to always justify a higher salary

We'll see how the season plays out, but I'm not convinced, that we are going to pay Reaves 30M. In a S&T being moved somewhere else maybe.

Reaves is a good shooter although it is not even his greatest attribute. I think he is our highest volume 3-pt shooter. If AR is working on his catch and shoot this off-season, he could turn into one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA. It could be quite the transformation. And he still has the on-ball offensive skills in his back pocket. AR is an avid golfer, like Steph Curry. There seems to be a correlation between the two sports in terms of things as basic and obvious as "aiming" and "getting the ball in the hole". Aslo maybe the mental aspects, like composure, clutchenss, etc. We know Curry is the greatest 3-pt shooter in NBA history, and is a very good golfer. If I'm not mistaken i believe Curry has won multiple celebrity golf events. So, hopefully Reaves could reach the same type of success as a shooter.

    P
Reaves can't shoot 30% from 3 in the playoffs, for 3 seasons in a row period. You either make the shots or you don't. If you do, you will be rewarded, if you don't, it's going to cost you. The ball is in his court, he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Steph Curry.

Although I agree with you, I think it’s important to be accurate. It wasn’t 3 seasons, here is his playoffs:

22-23: we make conference finals and he shoots 44.3% over 16 games - excellent shooting

23-24: lose to Denver first round shoots 26.9%. Very poor shooting - if he hits two more threes this series we probably win it

24-25: shoots 32% on 9 attempts. He actually shot excellently in games 1 (3/8), 3 (5/11) and 4 (5/12) at 42%. It’s just that game 2 he shot 0/6 and game 5 he was 2/10. If we made it further in the playoffs I believe this would have been another excellent shooting playoffs from him as his averages would have settled to around 37% on a lot of attempts.

So to be fair, I’d say he shot excellently one year, good this season and very bad the one before. The bigger problem I had this year wasn’t his shooting but his overall ability to get to the rim, score or get a foul and his turnovers.

No... shooting 27% and 31% are totally unacceptable . If he shoots 30% or less from deep this post season, he will have shot under 30% over 3 seasons. That is again, totally unacceptable, for your starting two guard. I don't know what he might have done, over a longer stretch, I can only talk about what he actually did. He's going to have to shoot better from 3, this postseason period. In the playoffs, shooting a low percentage with volume is hurting your team.

LOL, my bad. I only meant in terms of them both being avid golfers, and considering AR is the highest volume three-point hsotoer on the team, and doesn;t seem to be a bad shooter. I mean, he is also a very good free throw shiiter. And he seems to have a strong work ethic, so maybe he could improve. He has the basic blue print or whatever to be a good shooter. His shot isn;t broken. I do find it funny though that people seem to assume he is a good shooter, when his best attribute is a James Harden style foul bating. And he is very good at that.

Austin is my guy, but I don't shy away from, being critical of some things that he does. I expect more from him now, he's no longer the amazing find kid. It's time to level up, the money will follow.

    Hopefully the chips too.

It's highly possible that you, will become a true Reaves Stan, by this time next year.

LOL idk about the whole stanism concept though anyway, but I am optimistic that AR will adapt to Luka and become an effective catch-and-shoot player.
