I don't want to switch Rui for Collins and lose assets in the process. I also want more a 3 than a 4 as Lebron defends the 4 nowadays and you're already playing Luka and AR. We really need a all-defensive type of guy at the 3, hopefully that can take POA.
If you trade AR or bring him off the bench for a defensive specialist at the 2, your 3 can be more of a 4, although with Bron and DFS,I would still want a very mobile guy that plays more the 3.
NAW, Herb, Thybulle, etc...we need to get a guy like that if we have Luka and Bron

    There it is. Damn

Terrible return for the Suns. KD really forced his destination.

Now what pivot does SA, Minny and Miami make for a wing? Brown? Kuminga?

Well...they got back all the 2nd rounders they traded for Beal?

Big win for Houston. They'll be a tough out next year.

    Dear Lord!

    Riley lost out AGAIN

The Riley factor is no longer a thing. Next summer there should be a big pool of high end talent, if he can't close the deal by then on elite talent... time to hang it up.

wow. good work, houston. shed brooks (ick) and jalen green (who's not a star, imo). those were their two most expendable rotation players, imo. they don't have developmental room for that #10, either.

i guess phx gets that pick and can really hope they nail it, and at least they didn't add positional redundancy (though one could argue green is really a sg).

i was hoping durant would go east, though, as houston just jumped a tier.

Yeah, Houston stood their ground throughout negotiations that was the only young "core" player they were willing to move. And i don't like him as a winning player. Playing next to Booker certainly won't help that.

Suns have to start sending some stuff elsewhere cause their roster doesn't make sense and isn't good. They're also limited with their cap and draft assets. Start moving the role players who are playoff caliber players + these second round picks for a first round pick and then try to package whatever firsts they can collect to get a high end talent upgrade?

No one seems to want to go East but Bailey and that's so he can inflate his value out the gate and then demand out of Washington or Brooklyn by year 3.

    AND they added salary?! :LLLLLebronlaughing:

Martin as a min target is something I'm good with.

what an awful return for phoenix lmao

highway robbery for houston. landing KD and only having to give up green (who isn't very good) and a 1st round pick is great work

Right. Yes Knecht has flaws. That doesn’t mean he has no value at all. We can and should get something that improves us if we move him.

The Suns just find new ways of raising the temp on the dumpster fire they’ve got going.

Houston doesn't have any SG's any more. Just 6'0" PG's and 6'7"+ forwards and big men. Yes, positionless basketball, and Hou has a great defense, I'm just wondering - do Amen Thompson and Tari Eason guard quick SG's well, or mainly just forwards? If not, they may be better off making a secondary trade of a forward or 2 for an SG or 2.

guessing most or all of those assets were dangled and this is pr work pumping up their players.

truth is probably that the suns valued green more than wiggins and the #10 pick more than the heat's pupu platter of guys who probably disintegrate when they get 37 miles from spoelstra.

offensively, i think this can work, as both guys can handle the ball adequately (though i'd hate to be the teammates here...), but defensively...yikes.

We didn’t have a top three player in the League before LeBron.
It’s time to build around the guy who will be in the running for MVP for the next five seasons.

Thanks, that's what I thought. However, it still leaves 16 min for someone to guard SG's. Either Tari Eason needs to be able to do so, or they need a SG defender.

Coming back to this, I agree with all your points about value, and was just referring to the idea of trading or keeping Knecht in general. I don't think I like Luka, Reaves, and Knecht together defensively (even with 2 defenders next to them) unless 1 or 2 of them make a huge jump. So my thought is to highlight Knecht during the regular season a ton, and eventually trade him for like value in the Lakers areas of need, either POA defender who can shoot 3's or rim defender and lob threat. I understand if others who love Knecht's shooting would be reticent about that though, so I was moreso making it a general question - do Knecht supporters think that Knecht, Luka, and Reaves can be on the floor together in the playoffs if none of them make a big jump on defense?

Again, agree: Collins is an upgrade on Rui, but not worth a bunch of extra assets to do so.

Well Durant is a ROCKET Phoenix made out great in the trade. Jalen Green Dillion Brooks. 6 draft picks. Wow. That’s great. That’s a haul.
