I saw that one coming. I'm pretty sure he did too.

If all it takes is salary matching, somebody is most definitely going to roll the dice on him. It won't be us though.

I like Thibs a lot as a coach just think he has a style and demand that really is best in smaller doses. Seems to wear out his welcome wherever he goes.

Brutal reward to getting them to the ECF though.

So was I. Still mildly interested post Lebron because he can be had for peanuts now. I saw Zion play maybe a half a dozen times in HS. Was always the wholesome, “aw shucks” country kid next door without a speck of scandal. A real shame to see what money and fame has done to him. The same can be said for fellow South Carolinian Ja Morant for that matter too.

I think it might be Hurley. I think his interest in eventually coming to the NBA was real last year, even if his interest in us specifically wasn't.

some of his facial expressions on the sidelines made me think he was begging for it, lol.

good luck to whoever has to fashion a defense featuring brunson and towns. you think luka and reaves are tough to work with...

now, the knicks are ok contract-wise, imo, and they have talent. so i could see it being somewhat attractive. they probably need a trade, though. towns to milwaukee for giannis plus a bunch of picks seems fair to me, actually.

Well, if you get compared to California boys, you all are way off, but in my estimation, that can ONLY be a good thing!

Yeah Knicks are being smart. They are a hot team in the market and Thibs reached his ceiling.
Everyone wants to coach a contender in the East where you get Boston without Tatum in your first year.

I would like to see what Hurley is all about

if hurley's wife was scared of coming to LA because she'd no longer be the big fish in a small pond, she's definitely not going to let him take the knicks job

i'd be surprised if they don't hire malone or jenkins

Knicks need a better offensive system with more player movement. They need to shore up the defense too, but they probably do that via a Towns trade. I think Hurley makes a lot of sense for them, his offensive system at UCONN is well regarded at the NBA level.

In other news, the Magic announced they're going back to pinstripe jerseys. Suggs was in the announcement photo, so I think that probably means they're not trading him.

    Interesting

Suggs was always staying. I think he's getting close to Mikal Bridges level of return. But I want KCP if they are done with him. They should actually be aggressive pursuing AR, makes a ton of sense for them. We could get a couple of picks to use in other trades. 3 picks means 3 good role players, when you add KCP get interesting

    Luka | vet min
    Pick 1 | Goodwin
    Pick 2 | vet min
    Bron | DFS
    Pick 3 | TPMLE

yeah, maybe even more for both teams. towns and booker are friends, i think.

don't think this makes phx better, but it probably beats some of the kd offers they'll get.

    Luka | Joseph | Bronny
KCP | Goodwin | Coffey (vet min)
    Herb | Murphy III |
Bron | DFS | Nance Jr (vet min)
Capela (TPMLE) | Bitadze | Lyles (vet min)

Mins distribution: Luka and Bron (35), Herb and Trey (30), KCP and DFS (25), Capela and Bitadze (24), Goodwin (12).
You still got Lyles, Nance Jr, Coffey and Joseph not playing regular minutes, all capable players who can jump in at any time.

    Magic get: AR, Rui, Milton

Lakers: Herb, Trey Murphy III, KCP, Bitadze, Cory Joseph

Pelicans: Knecht, Jett Howard, Vando, Gabe, Kleber, #16 pick ORL 2025, 2027 ORL FRP, 2031 LA FRP

Is it too far fetched? I think it makes sense for both, not sure if Pelicans believe they can get more for that pair. They would have 2 picks in each of the next 3 years and still can trade Dejounte, McCollum and Zion. They also get 2 recent FRPs to take a look at and help suck next year
