T Bryant is about as useful as Travis Knight was on defense and hasn’t improved there. His shot is extremely inconsistent.
Good on him for playing well in their last two games.
As for Rieves, I would like to see what a team built around him and Luka looks like. People keep crying about the fit, but Irving is a much worse defender and he and Luka went to the Finals with a properly balanced team.
It’s not rocket science- Dallas already showed how it can work.

    I think he will.

I think Minnesota would rather bring Reid back. I think they can replace Alexander maybe they trade Divenchenzo or bring him back.?

I see the value in Reaves.

outside of LeBron AD since Kobe retired Austin Reaves has been the closest Laker to that.

Luka just got here. But I mean in terms of actually wanting to be here. Hard work 100%. Leadership.

I mean you watch the guy play and some of the plays he makes are jaw dropping. I just like seeing players play hard. I never question his motor.

he’s gonna get a huge payday next off season.

With second Apron you have to be careful. We all are familiar with the Rob talk we are now in the second apron era. He drills that home.

So you gotta do the best to keep your whole team together depth.

That’s why I’m not opposed to Clint Capella Paul Reed Brook Lopez Ben Simmons Tim Hardaway jr. Small moves to make our team better.

NBA is a copycat league. Everybody will do the Pacers blueprint build your team core. Kind of like they did with the Warriors.

The Pacers are deep. That’s why I like them over OKC. Kind of like Philly over the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Chiefs had Mahomes Eagles have a team.

And The pacers are just a deep squad. Toppin Siakm and Turner will pull OKCs bigs outside the 3. OKC is not a great perimeter shooting team. It’s what the Pacers do to perfection.

And when you look at Championship teams. NBA Championship teams. The C Bags Warriors that’s what the Pacers do. These pacers remind me of the C Bags. Turner is Kristop Porzingis. These talking heads are crazy OKC 4-1. Pacers in 6.

gonna be interesting after the Pacers win the championship what does that do for Gianiss and Durant???

We have a good head start for the blue print because Luka is similar to Haliburton in terms of passing and shooting, but he is way higher usage though. But at least , we are closer than most. Lonzo Ball has a Haliburton type game. But, yeah they are very copycat. I heard someone say the other day "bigs are back in style". I starting busting up laughing. It's kind of annoying (the copycatting) but It is what it is.

Give me some low budget options like Bruce Brown to replace Gabe Vincent and a trade for Goga Bitadze to replace Kleber/ Jax. Add another wing for the TPMLE and it’s a great start without trading Rui or Austin. I’m for waiting to try to make a big splash in 2026.

Whats interesting. With OKC or Indiana winning the championship with culture and build and depth.

How many teams shift away from a big 3 to core????

look at San Antonio Fox Vassell Wambyana Potentially Dylon Harper and your 14 pick your depth is there and core.

why trade most of it for one???

Houston With all that talent and a pick why trade it for one??? Why not keep the core and add to it???

OKC potentially winning a championship do you really need to trade your core guys for one??? Even if it’s Gianiss??? You just won the championship.

Do those teams shift to the Lakers for our potential star players Reaves Kinect a 2031 unprotected 1st round pick. Do we become the most attractive team now with our package for a Gianiss or Durant?

And what does Rob do??? Does he value core like Indiana and OKC? And think maybe keeping Reaves Kinect the 2031 1st round pick and Hachimura is better to overall core of the team.?

this NBA finals can have a huge impact on NBA free agency and trades. Now Pace is emphasized and shooting.

you gotta shoot the ball. And Kinect can do that. He will have huge value.

Nobody has the blueprint, that's why we are about to have the 7th different team, win a Championship in the last 7 seasons. Maximize the talent you have, avoid major injuries, and take your shot.

this. what the pacers prove isn't that you need to do what they do, it's that you need to maximize what you have.

i've yet to see the second apron really do anything serious--though this offseason will be a big test of that theory--but if it does, it will highlight this point even further.

denver--a team with 6 total nba players--almost knocked off okc, but the pacers--a team who has played like 12 different guys meaningful minutes in the playoffs--beat the top-heavy knicks on the other side.

some teams play a consistent style at all times, and some give you different looks effectively. some have had success playing large and others playing small.

we--and everyone else--just need to identify our strengths and build around that. then you hope for some luck come playoff time. we didn't really have either this year.

It doesn't look like Luka is feeling the trade Reaves talk either.
