fair point. fox was more proven at the time. and it's not like he's multiple tiers below fox. but yeah, you'd think that the folks who saw them play every day would make the right call there.

What’s the point of you starting your post above off like you’re breaking new ground and “schooling” people here? The points are OK … common sense in the NBA. How about losing the attitude? They’re your opinions too not “facts” about anything that’s going to happen. We won’t know anything until it actually happens.

And honestly Halliburton hasn’t been ALL that …. “always”. No non stop superstardom in the years since the trade. Not consistently “great” like most young players. There have been games against the Pacers where less athletic AR was actually the superior and more exciting player between them. Doesn’t mean he’s the better player but might have a bigger bag of finely honed all around skills. Sabonis has been great for them. Good Big man over good little man. Honestly it seems like that anonymous players poll that dubbed him the most overrated has really spurred him recently to that level that you’re claiming has always been there.

Austin Reeves would be a phenomenal Baskrball player with the ball in his hands. I just think Tyrese Halliburton sees the court better than a lot of players. And they don’t like his antics.

I’ve always liked him even at Iowa State when he was making big shots. He’s always been a big time playoff player. He got hurt in the playoffs last season.

So players might say he’s overrated during the regular season but he does it in the playoffs. And has been clutch.

I also likes Halliburton’s size. 6,7” point guard is huge.

Tyrese Haliburton is everything Shaun Livingston would’ve been if he didn’t get hurt and had a jump shot. He was on his way.

I’m not big on trading Austin Reeves. Not even for Jarrett Allen call me crazy.

I value Austin Reeves game. He’s a special player. My rule is Reeves only traded for Durant or Gianiss.

Reaves + Kleber + Vincent to Cleveland for Allen + Okoro. We get our big and Max Christie replacement. Okoro is still only 24. Not ideal for AR, but you have to consider it.

    PG: Luka
    SG: Okoro
    SF: Rui
    PF: James
    C: Allen

There are multiple ways to get the job done. This season we will see, the 7th team crowned as NBA Champion in 7 seasons.

There is no blueprint, every season the new Champion, has been held up, as an example to follow, and yet, not a single one, has even made it back to the Finals period.

Multiple players, Multiple coaching staffs, Multiple GM's. All enjoyed the ultimate success in our League, for that one season.

Maximize your stars, that seems to be the common thread IMO. On the bright side, that means our shot, is as good as anyone else's next season. We have two top 10 players, one is a GOAT, still defying father time. The other is just entering his prime. We have two young guys that have elevated into good players, that can contribute anywhere under any scheme. We have a lot going in our favor.

Barring a major injury, we shouldn't have any excuse, for not making a deep playoff run. Yet on the downside, we've been in a similar situation for the last 3 seasons. We have only won 2 games, losing all 3 series.

Where is the accountability? We dump players, we fire coaches, the results remain the same. Perhaps the finger should start to be pointed at the guy, picking the roster, and hiring the coaching staff? We have blamed everything else.

If we don't advance to the Finals next season, barring a major injury, Is that the time, to say "Enough is enough "?

Rob Pelinka just got an extension. And you can’t fire the Owner Jeanie Buss. Shes definitely made some questionable moves.

Extensions don't mean anything, Jeanie is rolling in cash. That's why we can fire a HC coach every two seasons. We may be still paying Frank.

OKC 's bigs neutralized Gobert, and the T'Wolves didn't have any answers.

Lakers aren't close to winning a title because they can't fly around on defense as a unit and grab rebounds .

the answer is surrounding luka with at least three athletes. one could argue we currently have zero. nobody wants to hear it, but 40 year old lebron isn't the best luka complement due to defensive issues. everyone's pointing at reaves, but he's young and currently inexpensive. with lebron likely to retire within a year or two, i think you keep reaves, get two athletes who can defend and hope lebron's offensive genius next to luka gives you a puncher's chance until you can actually commit to building the right group around your star in his prime.

we never really attempted it with AD, though, so who knows what we'll do? i'm actually really interested to see what the plan is when FA opens. are we going to be conservative and preserve flexibility next summer? or are we going to pony up all the assets to make a run next year? people that know me know my preferred option, which is the unpopular one, lol.
