net points loved his defense, not his offense but I think he got better as the season progressed

    I really don't think he's available TBH

If you take half of SGA's free throw attempts, he's still scoring around 29ppg, no problem. And there's no way half of those not legit.

if he averages 29 on lower fg% with more turnovers (which is what would happen on some of the dives), he's donovan mitchell, right? that's about what he think he is without the refs. still an allstar. still all-nba. not mvp.

In the 2024-25 NBA regular season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had significantly higher stats than Donovan Mitchell. Shai averaged 32.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, and shot at 51.9% from the field, while Donovan Mitchell averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and shot at 44.3% from the field. Even at 29 ppg and slightly lower %, he'd still be noticeably better. Besides, he's actually good at attacking the basket relentlessly and he's excellent at finishing through the contact. Also, he's a nice, classy guy, well spoken and with a very positive attitude.

Now, I personally don't care about who gets the MVP, I am just saying that SGA is a great player, and I feel he is slightly disrespected here, that's all. Just my opinion.

    Lebron does this crap man.

Wahhhhh I don’t know if I’m coming back??? Keep Reeaves Kinect all of them.

if he bolts. We got Luka Reaves Kinect Hachiumura we’re deep. Cap space and we can sign anybody in 26 and we play great without him. It’s all through Luka.

Lebron acts like he’s 26. Man you’re not the same player. And if you want Golden State

Warriors give us Kaminga and Podzunic

But all good . I’m sure Lebron is having his diva moment but nothing to see here.

Makes even more sense why we traded for Luka we needed our guy. Our next guy. Cause LeBron. We don’t have to be hijacked by LeBron anymore.

oh Btw we drafted your son. Can you be a little bit more considerate man.???

But hey it’s NBA porn. Tea. So it makes people run his narrative.

if he stays we are competing for a championship and getting our big. If he bolts we have roster flexibility.

I think Paul Reed is the guy the Lakers are going to sign to start. and he’s the guy. He can shoot. Rob will say he can play in the new NBA shooting the ball. He’s a stretch 5 and Rob will say like Myles Turner and the other Centers he can stretch shooting the ball. You’ll hear. When he filled in for Embid he was a great center like 20–10 he fits that player with Luka and he’ll get 36 minutes a night. So that’s what you’re gonna hear. He can protect the paint and be the Center so that’s what I think. I also think Clint Capella will be the old center signed to come off the bench.

Lebron just made another All NBA team at 40. He can talk all the s*** that he wants IMO. He's earned that right. There isn't a Lebron replacement to be had at the full MLE.

Now..if he wants to hang em up in Cleveland? I'll take Mobley and Hunter.

Meh..5pt 4 rebs and hasn't avg a blk a game in his career? He can get a vet minimum offer, Im not sure that he's any better than Hayes TBH. Better than Len for sure tho.

6'9 210 lbs? Lebron is bigger than him.

Agree I just think it’s not productive to go through this with the way the season ended.

I do think at this point the team plays much better when he doesn’t play and the ball moves. That’s just my opinion.

He’s a ball dominant player and I think players like Kinect will put up way better numbers when he’s not on team.

He had a few 33 point games 25 point games in there.

Hey don’t get it twisted. I’ve been very vocal I want Ayton. He’s my guy. 7,0 26 years old.

This guy is 6,9” 25 years old. People like him. I’m just preparing everybody for him. So don’t be all pissed if he signs.

Reason why I bought up the LeBron stuff is because Jovan Buha had a pretty adamant article that LeBron could leave the Lakers.

I'd take swing at Ayton too, but Pinocchio doesn't care for bigs, he's just making noise for Luka. I can absolutely see us signing Capela with the mini MLE, and Reed on a minimum. Rob would declare " Problem solved!"

His real intentions are to find a starting guard, that sends Austin to the bench. IMO

It depends on the player involved, but that might just actually work. IDK

The ball actually moves better with Lebron and Austin. Luka is a ball hog...but oh My! He's a damn exquisitely gifted ball hog tho. I ain't really mad about that.

@abeer3 regarding that article: Hope we called collect, no way they're giving us Okongwu unless we're including Austin and then we lose that trade.

Dave thinks we're going the stop gap route at C, better make damn good use of our trade chips for two- way starting 3&d wing then, only way that's OK.

reed's functionally the same size as claxton, whom people want to deal multiple 1sts for.

if we could get capela and reed without using trades, i'd actually be pretty happy with the center position. i just don't think jj actually wants one unless it's like a top tier guy--and even then, he has to be the right kind.

lively was really an ideal luka center--quick enough to help to corner and recover, stay with ballhandlers, but also extreme vertical threat on both ends. finally, he can pass a bit off the short roll and score on smaller players.

still can't believe dallas traded luka right after they built a team around him that could win a ring. if they were healthy this year, they'd have won it, imo.

anyway, back to us: there are bidders on centers. zag when others are zigging.

i know everyone's going to be super pissed about it, but the center market sucks right now if you're a buyer. might as well lean into a different philosophy, imo. go get jj players he says can play in the playoffs, positions be damned.

that doesn't mean we shouldn't try--like we already did with mark williams--just that we shouldn't make a mistake in overpaying just to say we addressed a need.

we can start the year with a hayes-like center starting and still win a ton of games, imo. people forget that hayes looked ok for a while there in the regular season. then you're very strong position at the trade deadline.
