team is really lacking in the length and athleticism department. that's how minny won the series

doesn't help when your two stars are a 40 year old and an unathletic PG. need to fill the holes with some athletic wings

Don’t get the Cam Johnson desire, that’s just adding another PF. We’ve already got LeBron, Rui, Vando, DFS and Kleber.

Let’s say you trade Rui and Kleber for him. It doesn’t change the “Kuzma” problem - his best position is LeBron’s best position. And we already have Cam Johnson light in Rui. Rui has been a 40%+ 3 pt shooter the last two seasons - we just need to give him more volume now 7-8 shots a night. Don’t know what Cam Johnson brings above that?

Give me an athletic SF not another PF like Zion or Cam.

Lebron is almost at the end of the road bro. I don't think we will be making moves, planning on him being around 2 more seasons.

So the Lakers are going to waste two years of luka's prime after they wasted the last 2 years of AD/Lebron? That would be sad

What I'm saying is, if Rob(Luka) see an obtainable player that they like, I don't think what's best for Lebron, is going to be a priority in pulling the trigger.

Lebron is a GOAT in this game, he'd adjust to whatever, especially at this point. What's best for Luka, is going to benefit him regardless.

We need a guy who's certifiable on the team i.e. Bobby Portis, Isaiah Stewart, etc. Give us an edge.

I think we're going after Claxton.

    I’d love Portis.

But Everything feels like a step up after what we just watched.

I completely agree. I know most will hate this suggestion, but I would like Dillon Brooks on our squad. Dude backs down from no one and can get hot on offense- reminds me a bit of Ron Ron.

We need at least one athletic SF/SG and TWO bigs- a starter and backup.
With our assets, I think we can strongly fill two of these roles and get a decent third.
If we can sign Steven Adams as a FA, we can trade for that athletic wing(AR, picks and filler)and trade a couple of our bench players for a serviceable backup big.
I would be willing to trade AR only for a near All Star bouncy C or near All Star Uber athletic wing.

Just an idea. I'm sure we could think of others.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is an FA, too. I'm sure there are better options; I'm just throwing names out there.

Vincent is too damn small out there.

Yeah, I'm up for re-shaping this roster with some of those names. I'm not criticizing anything unless it's an outright overpay by Rob, but we need to change courses, IMO.

Get bigger, get more physical, etc.

This makes lots of sense until you get to the cap. Having 40-50m at the PG and PF spots means you should prioritise players that are either SG/SF or C. Otherwise you'll build a team like this:

    Luka
    Reaves
    DFS
    Lebron
    Zion

And we won't have any size at the 5 or anyone that can stop dribble penetration anyway. So we're right back in the same problem.

Agreed on both your last posts. Both Portis and NAW are players I'd love. I'd actually prefer Donte DeVincenzo to NAW so if we sign Portis to the MLE, maybe trading for DDV could be a good option.

In the 2024-25 NBA season, Nicolas Claxton's true shooting percentage was 62.9%. This places him among the league leaders in true shooting percentage. His career true shooting percentage is 63.6%

LOL LeBron’s NOT taking a 26% or higher cut to give us the non TP mid-level.
