Kind of an over-correction.
Lakers perhaps see Vincent more as "making a splash" then boring Carter or Milton signings, since Vincent came up clutch in the playoffs. Maybe...
Milton is bigger and a much better shooter than Vincent, and he went for 5 mil.
Im not stoked about Vincent. Could of offered that to Carter, who is better.
Probably starts at around 10 million and change, with raises. 32-35 million left to use on Hachimura / Russell.
Still have Curry and Richardson available.
Lakers basically have around 42 million to split between Russell, Hachimura, and free agents with the all or part of the MLE.
Gordon is not that bad. He could play in the second unit next to JHS, or start alongside Reaves or Russell in the back court, if we happen to go...
If we are paying Russell 20 million and Hachimura 15 million respectively, then 7 million or so is that max we could offer as part of the MLE.
I could see Gordon taking 3 years / 21 million.
Lakers should sign Biyombo and Love to fill in at back up center.
Prince maybe 3 years/ 21 million.
My guess is 2 years / 10 million.
A pipe dream would be Brook Lopez signing for the 12.4 and Robin Lopez signing for the vet minimum. They could finish their playing days close to...
If Russell gets 20 million, Lakers end up with not quite enough for the full mid level. Unless Vanderbilt and/or JHS are dealt or something, we...
Carter or Gordon probably
Carter/Gordon splitting the MLE shouldn't be too bad. Both are undersized shooting guards that could play alongside our oversized point guards I'm...
I prefer Carter over Shroder. Cleaner fit due to his low usage and good three-point shooting.
Splitting the MLE between Shroder and Gordon doesn't sound good at all. Would much rather go for Divicenzo or Carter.
Kai Jones could be this season's Lonnie Walker.
