What a chump loser to get that kind of money. All based off that one C Bags ring with that stacked team.

    That's wild.

Cheap, inept owners should be kicked out of the league.

Silver won't do anything but when he gets ran out of town, his replacement needs to intervene.

Speaking of Silver being dumb... soft launching regular season games in another city in the state ain't going to go well.

nuggets have to be concerned about gordon's injury, and it's a conundrum. he's heading to the downside of his career, particularly given his style of play. but he's super important to what they do. he's got the dreaded vague calf injury. they probably can't beat minny without him, but if he snaps an achilles, their whole operation goes down in flames, imo.

    not sure how i'd proceed.

Spot on. Denver was just soooo bad without Gordon tonight. Kinda surprised that Jokic and Murray & Co couldn't do at least a little better than that. Jokic's 27 & 15 was somehow a terrible 27 & 15. 27% FG%, 20% 3P%, only 3 assists, and a team low -21. Very un-Jokic game.

At this point, it looks like Minnesota will get by Denver even if Gordon comes back, bc it doesn't seem like he'll be 100%.

MIN looks like that they're suddenly clicking; DEN has looked really bad the last two games. But they still have the Big Serb, so don't count them out yet.

Man, I knew Gordon was important to them but I had no idea how much. And Rudy and Jaden are playing Joker and Murray tough: even better than I thought they could. Joker has 31 missed shots over their last 2 losses. Jamaal: 16 for 42 over their last two losses.

CJ is doing all the things for ATL that Brunson was supposed to do for the Knicks and isn't.

I was glad to see the Bags get bagged on their own court by an Embiid-less 76ers team. In the East: anyone but the Bags. I see DET and BOS as the two best - easily - over there. Can ATL give either one of them a decent run in a series? I don't know. I suspect not, hope I'm wrong, Someone has to knock out the Bags.

Man, Cavs are loaded with talent, but I think they're mentally soft. Tight game in TOR at end of 3rd Q, 83-81 TOR; TOR blows CLE out in the 4th 43-23. CLE still up 2-1, but if they lose Game 4 in TOR I wouldn't be surprised to see them get eliminated in the 1st round.

These playoffs are wild. Most teams without HCA are leading or tied the series.
Only OKC and Cavs held it.

Well and us, but we weren't supposed to. Incredible

Yup. 6 underdogs tied or leading, only 2 favorites leading.

I don't think this has ever happened before in all NBA history. AI says that the most ever before this was 5 underdogs tied in 1984, and before that never (was 12 or fewer teams in the playoffs before 1984).

MIN was down 4 at halftime, at home, vs. DEN in Game 3, then won the 3rd Q and were up 82-78 to start the 4th Q. Looked like a toss-up to me at that point. The story was a bench player for MIN.

Then MIN really blitzed DEN and won the 4th 30-18 and now it's MIN up 3-1. Joker 8 for 22; 24/15/9. Aaron Gordon played 23 mins, scored 9 points and was 1 for 5 from long. DEN, a notable 3-point team, was 6 for 28 (21%).

Ayo Dosunmu, leading the league in the letter u in his name, a 6'4" guard, came off the bench for MIN and hit 5 of 5 3s, 13 of 17 from the field, 12 of 12 from the line, 43 points in 42 mins, after Donte and Ant sustained leg injuries. One of the great bench games of all-time.

DEN has to be reelin' after being up at halftime on the road in a must-win, esp since Donte went out after 1 minute of play, and Ant only scored 5 on 1-8 shooting. No one had scored that many points off the bench in a playoff game since 1976, when Downtown Freddie Brown of the Seattle Supersonics scored 45 off the bench. MIN starters Julius had 15, and Jaden had 12; Naz came off the bench for 17. Dosunmu! 43! Jeeez. Helluva game with Ant out.

Jaden made a meaningless layup with 2 secs left in the game and it pissed off Joker, who picked a fight with Julius, who was on the bench. Joker got tossed! Man how the mighty sometimes fall. (Julius got tossed, too. Game was OVUH!)

EDIT to add: Donte's injury in the 1st minute of the game looks to be a torn achilles, which makes this victory and the Dosunmu game almost Pyrrhic-looking. Donte put up a 3, it missed, then he took off for the board and just fell down, clutching his lower leg. I was hoping it wasn't that, but non-contact? That's effed for MIN. That, and Ant had been having right knee issues, but came down hard on his left knee in this game, had to be helped back to the locker room. Not looking rosy for either MIN or DEN right now, moving into the next games. I refuse to speculate about how these events might help another team with major injury issues. You know the one I'm thinking of.

Probably the biggest surprise of the 1st round so far...except for that...who are they?...oh yea: that Los Angeles Lakers team? They lost their TWO leading scorers just before the playoffs began and now they're up 3-0. Who ARE those guys?
