I dont think he's turned back the clock. Being a high usage player is extremely taxing. He lowered his usage rate considerably which gives him more energy when he needs it.

And dunking at 41 is nothing. I'm 47, and I can dunk 10-12 times a night. And if the Oreos are Dark Chocolate filling? 15 times a night without breaking a sweat.

i was thinking about the dunking, also being 47, and was like...lebron is maybe 10 inches taller than i am. and when i was young, i could dunk (when conditions were right, lol). 6 years ago, could i have dunked on a 9ft hoop? hell no. last time i could do that was probably 10 years ago.

    and now my back hurts.

well hes lost about 6 feet of total liftoff (well to be fair this is the maximum that has been lost to age - he probably could take off from a longer distance)
That's both a huge amount of athleticism lost and at the same a ridiculous amount still left over.

If only he can get his jumper working again - this is the worse his jumper has looked in years

Does touching the bottom of the net count?

To start the season, and up until the all star break, he was a shell of himself. He shot poorly and he couldn't get to the rim as effectively as he did last year. Looking back now, it probably took him longer, being 41, to recover from the injury and get back into form.

As for dunking in your 40's (I'm 46 btw which makes me admire older athletes even more lately) I've never seen a 40+ year old NBA player dunking in game through traffic and from the behind the backboard. Not even Vince at 40 was dunking as ferociously as Lebron is dunking this month. I don't doubt that you can still dunk, but there are dunks, and then there are DUNKS.

i think the way he iso-punked him in the playoffs was more impactful than the AI punch video, tbh.

one of my all-time favorite lebron moments was him clearing out and just running roughshod over that fake tough guy ftw. one of dillon's testicles may have actually ruptured in that moment.

Needs to fix his 3P shot once the playoffs come around and defenses get tighter.
    31% won't cut it.

He was 38% last year and 41% the year before that. Hope he can get those %'s up in time for the playoffs. It will be crucial against the Spurs and OKC.

    LeBron two seasons ago:
    84 DUNKS in 71 GAMES

    LeBron last season:
    71 DUNKS in 70 GAMES

    LeBron this season:
    85 DUNKS in 54 GAMES

I saw this on FB and confirmed it on ChatGPT. Absolutely insane, he’s turning into Karl Malone lol

Nice game from the old man last night. 21 points and a triple double with some ferocious slams (other than that early one that came in and out of the rim).

Think he needs some time off before the playoffs - he missed some And 1s and drives. This was stuff he was making recently and more along how he looked when he just got back and was out of shape.

No rest for the weary right now though. It's money time. We beat the teams we were supposed to but this is a tough stretch coming up. We are holding on to 3rd place for dear life at the moment with games coming up against the Cavs and OKC twice. We only have a couple gimmes down the stretch against Dallas, and Utah, and some that could go either way vs. GS, and the Suns. Meanwhile Denver is skating pretty easy until they face the Spurs April 7th, have a bunch of gimmes and then one v. OKC and another against SA but things might be settled by then. They could still jump up into our slot and they are playing great and have good health.

I really think seeding matters this year. I know the three spot didn't help us last season, but we look better and we've won our head to head series against our 3-6 competition. We need a favorable matchup. To me the Rockets and Minny are luckily a better matchup than Denver who are always dangerous. We should be good in that way - I see us ending up having HCA over Houston and Minny. We have a good cushion over them to get at least the 4 seed.
