    Nope cause:
    1) we aren't replacing that production.
    2) for the history books, you want to see this marriage end on a better note. If he finishes elsewhere, that doesn't look great (remember how we handled Kobe's end mattered when it was time to get Bron. We don't know who's watching how we're handling this final chapter, hopefully not Luka). If he retires, this isn't the kind of final season either party wants.

Jason Timpf mentioned this and I agree - Rui and Lebron need to shot their catch and shoot 3's. a decent look for both Rui and Lebron is better then a slightly more open look for Vando/Jake/Marcus

I'm not sure why the media sentiment is so negative on Lebron and the Lakers. I get that he's ancient, but I don't see a better player we could get if he comes back for 20m next year.

He's not the destroyer of worlds he was 10 years ago, but he's also better than any of MPJ, Watson, Grimes, Mathurin or Rui...

if he wants to come back at mle or slightly higher on a one-year deal with no options? hell yes. he'll be better than pretty much any possible signing.

    at current salary? hell no.

Cranjis posted this the other day

I disagree in context of current NBA salaries, if it's performance based vs league salary then he's a $35m a year player and that's strictly on the court. If you factor in off the court, his evaluation is as the highest paid player in the league.

I'm not positive Walter is going to be anxious to jettison off the team's largest money maker just because the Buss children are dumb and Rob is tired of navigating the Klutch waters.

Ideally you get him to slash his current in half at $26m but what are they going to do with that money? I think that matters. I think he'll have to give up significant money anywhere, but he should not give up extra for a misfit roster. If Rob has a plan and can execute it by all means. If he tells Bron that he can get Watson from Denver if he gives up an extra $8m and that will make his farewell tour mean something cause we might be able to win on his way out. That's a legacy play for him and that he would listen to. He just has to respect the player and the vision.

They had at least 10 of those in this game. They don't understand angles or passing or half court offense. Truly hideous to watch that team. They need that rookie franchise player to save them in June.

we'll all miss Lebron when he's gone

why people are in such a rush to see him gone, I don't understand. I enjoy talking about him. He's my favorite player.

With the NBA trade deadline approaching and several teams considered to be potential future destinations for LeBron James reportedly involved in talks to acquire star-level talent, James is still expected to finish out the season with the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

James' longtime friend and agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, said on his "Game Over" podcast in December that James would not be seeking a trade and would finish out his record-setting 23rd season in L.A.

"No," Paul said on an episode of the podcast released Dec. 9. "Where is he going to go?"
