ok, here's what's weird: he looks exactly like he does now? like all those things are things i've seen him do, just not all in the same game with us.

part of it is the bigger role and lower expectations, maybe part of it is the injuries, but it's not like he was a dynamic athlete or something. he just...lost the mojo or whatever.

you watch those highlights and think this is exactly the pg you want for a lebron/AD team, though.

sorry to self-quote, but i had one more thought on it--it's important to remember that he really just had that one good playoffs, and it wasn't even consistent in those playoffs (2 good series, 2 bad ones). his advanced numbers in miami were bad. the idea was the intangibles and that he had done it on big stages (elevated his game instead of got worse like most do). now, he's been even worse here, but he was never actually good. it's all been, like, mythology. and again, the coaches and teammates love him. it's pure vibes!! we need to find a way to get him onto a rival team...
