details are interesting, but some of those expenses could be cut drastically. it's really too bad these guys don't get better financial guidance and/or pay attention to it. 100 million dollars, even with all the taxes, etc., should have been more than enough for him and his family for a lifetime.

 

that's sad, and our divorce system in the US is severely messed up. I'd know since I went through it. It's not nice to feel like you need to be someone's Golden Parachute.

 

We have less than 2 million and I think we are fine. We also have 100k+ in retirement income. Month to month in California but when we move things will look up considerably. If I had a 100 million and would be rich.

 

i know it's a touchy subject, but...why hasn't denver just re-signed westbrook?

they have the roster space, and they still need a backup pg. he's fit fairly well there for them and can't be asking for much more than the raise they can give him over the vet min, right? just seems weird that he's not just going back there.

 

I'd give my usual Russ take just to tweak Slick for all his nonsense over the last 3 years about him .... but DAMN that close up of Russ's shooting hand he posted a few days ago was brutal. No wonder he shoots the way he does now and with so many airballs. I wonder how much of that "mangling" is the result of all the power dunks and rim contact over the years. Guessing Lots?

yeah, i just didn't know it was that bad there. i've seen the lowlights, but the overall numbers suggest he was a net positive in his role there. again, this is VERY different than with us, where he actively harmed us most of the time.

the simplest explanation is denver isn't offering him a spot, but man...they have nothing behind murray. what does that mean? just feel like there's more to the story. is russ still hoping to start? does he want a different role?

it's interesting to me that the press is totally uninterested in that story, too. i think it was michael pina (which, take it with a grain of salt) the other day just absolutely trashed russ as a player and was like "maybe sac or NO--because they're incredibly stupid--will sign him", and that was maybe the only real attention i've seen on the topic.

this is a highly visible, highly polarizing, news-y future hofer. nobody's asking anyone anything about it?
