yeah, that post ends with "what are they going to do?" but the answer is pretty clear, right? i'd say you trade giannis to replenish some of the draft capital and let all the FAs walk, but i'm pretty sure all their outgoing picks are fully unprotected (yipes!). to me, this means you try to trade giannis for win-now players. i think houston (smith/fvv/picks?) and san antonio (johnson/barnes/castle or sochan/picks) can both make that happen. be interesting to see how they decide to go with the gm being safe in his job now, but i don't see an option wherein giannis is a buck in october, man. yeah, sorry, you don't get to do it several times and still be ok with me. i get a trade demand in some contexts (i thought AD's was fair; i understood the shaq/kobe stuff, etc.), but jimmy just keeps burning down his franchise and getting to play the hero in the next town. and he gets a pass from the press because...he's weird? i like him on the court, obviously. serious competitor. before we got luka i said i would have taken him in trade just because i knew we'd have had a title shot for one year.
didn't expect to see Zubac as the leading scorer for the Clips in a playoff game. They shot over 50% and lost. Interesting series.

You've been en fuego this game, just like your team's win in Game 3, when you hit 9 from deep. Your teammate AJ Green hits a FT to put you up 118-111 with 40 seconds left in OT. You've come a long way. You can feel Game 6 in MIL comin' on. Green misses his 2nd FT: rebound Siakam, 4 secs later Nembhardt pulls up from 33 feet and hits it. But you're still up by 4 with 34 secs left. It's looking good that you're gonna live to play another game. Came up big in OT crunch on the road down 3-1. You're Gary Trent Jr and you throw the ball away under pressure with 29 secs left. With 17 secs left Halliburton makes a driving layup. You're still up 2. But Halliburton got the and-one. He hits it. Bucks still up 1, take a timeout. You just need to kill the clock. You take it in, you're Gary Trent Jr. Your teammate passes the ball to you, wide open along the sideline. Just kill the clock or wait to get fouled and hit your FTs and hold on in OT for the win. But Trent can't catch the pass. It goes through his legs. He was thinking ahead. Took his eye off the ball for a split second, the sorta thing that ends your season. Tyrese has Giannis up top corner of the key, gets around him and hits the layup: your season, Milwaukee, is over. Gary Trent, Jr: you had a great game but you are the goat. Not the GOAT, but simply the goat. As in meeehhhhh: it's over for you. Wow. MIL up 7 with 40 secs left, IND wins the game by 1. I'd like to see Doc get canned, but then he'd be back on TV with that fingernails on chalkboard voice and trivial "observations." They hung in there and were up 51-47 early in the 3rd. Paolo picks up his 4th foul: very bad news for ORL. Mosely decides to gamble and keep Paolo in there. Paolo picks up his 5th foul a minute and a half later. Mosely freaks, demands a review. Replay shows he kinda did jump into Jaylen. Mosely takes out Paolo. BOS immediately goes on a 30-9 run. They won the 3rd Q 36-13. Sorry Magic it wasn't your year. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Also watched Toileteers @ DEN, Game 5. If you didn't see it and looked at Joker's stat line: trip-dub, but it's 13/10/12 on 4 of 13 shooting, you figure Clips are up 3-2. But Jamaal drops 43 on 'em. DEN took a 16 point lead into the 4th after winning the 3rd by 8. They played even in the 4th. I was surprised. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Also: I got very little done today. And yea: I watched DET@Knicks too: DET stayed alive in MSG. Amazing how much better they are one season later! Very very physical game. Both Brunson and Hart sustained injuries in late in the 4th that looked pretty bad, but they both reported to the scorer's table with the game on the line, but play kept on and they couldn't get back into the game on time. Weird! Knicks are at home to eliminate DET in a rough series. They lose and now go to DET. This could be very interesting. All the while, I'm tryna stave off Laker worries with us down 3-1. And to add injury, GSW is up 3-1 over HOU. Daym!
The Bucks had one of the worst choke jobs I’ve ever seen. You have a 7 point lead with 40 seconds remaining and they just gave the game away.
Good to see HOU stay alive at home and beat the living crap outta GSW. Their big test is Game 6 in San Francisco. If they can win that, I think they can win Game 7. Gonna be difficult.
