Yeah. Hoping we can at least get the team going in a positive direction before the end of the season. I posted that here because of the thoughts on Ham.
yeah, guessing someone had a talk with him after those comments. again, i know it's in fashion to after the FO (for, apparently, not being able to fool teams into taking russ), but you can't have your coach coming out and saying the results are on personnel like that.
You guys are talking about some deep s***. I wanna know whose d****** decision was it to put The Hobo on George for most of the game?
didn't see game, but i read that reaves played him a fair amount, too? anyway, my guess is bevs asked for the assignment and ham obliged. if there's one thing we know, it's that bevs wants to beat the clippers. hell, the only positive i thought from trading for him was that we were at least guaranteed to get one game off them!
He deserves blame. When you're 2-9, that's the way it goes. I think he's tried; he's too dependent on his drop coverage defensively, the offense stalls coming out at the half and just generally suck a**. He needs to be better, too.
Reaves locked him up so bad on one possession that should have closed the gym, but, for whatever reason, Hobo was on in most of the time and got TORCHED
Man, I really do feel bad for Ham. I think he’s done a lot right to maximize this team, but the roster construction is woefully inadequate and the team just falls apart at the worst moments. I really don’t think any other coach could have done much better … but being real, we’re in store for a historically bad season that I’m worried will be difficult for Ham to wash the stink from. If this was going to be a punt season, it would have made so much more sense to just let Vogel ride it out so we could give our next coach an actual blank slate
my gripe with ham is he doesn't have guys moving on offense. that was supposed to be a thing we do, and we really don't do it enough. if you're going to play 4-out with no shooters, everybody has to be moving with purpose, all the time.
And yet we need 20 games to evaluate this. But almost everyone here knew it was going to be pretty disastrous. Not a good roster as constructed. Way too reliant on Lebron AD and Westbrook. They should have moved Russ if they wanted to win this year. But I’m not sure the FO does.
Ham has been a bit lacking in his 2nd half strategy IMO. He's jumping around a bit on his rotations too.
Fair enough. I feel like he’s brought some energy and accountability to the team. And I believe the FO is pleased with itself for installing a coach who has earned Russ’s trust and is getting the best of him in the bench role. That’s not good enough for wins though. Not sure what any coach could do with this roster.
