Sigh....Career high 3 point attempts. I knew this was coming, maybe it was inevitable, Frank wanted him to take at least five 3's a game too. I guess we'll find out if this " lethal shooting " coach is the real deal or not this season.
I can see it now .... @KareemtheGreat33 will be grumping about AD not being a Man down low, and just flitting around on the perimeter shooting 3s.
I think you’re all overreacting. IF he can shoot 35% from three that’s better than him hitting 45% from a long two. I don’t care if he is “soft” offensively if he defends well and scores 20+ a night.
well, that and i think he had more cleared out post attacks in one half last night than he got in full games last year. we used him as a screen and roller, a popper, straight post up, trail catch and shoot threes (those look nice so far in the preseason and can be a real weapon), and sparingly as a face up iso from the wing (which is where he's worst, imo, and where vogel often used him to my chagrin).
Don’t know if you are aware of this particular site but if you really have not watched any of the games yet, or won’t, they have all the scheduled games and box scores and good recaps if you’re interested. This Lakers/Warriors recap is a particularly good one to see to get a feel for what’s going on …. even though your fave LBJ didn’t play. https://www.google.com/search?q=NBA+Scores&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
If they're going to get down on themselves for missing 3s in a pre-season, with this roster...oh boy. They better get numb quick or...
Gabriel and jones went 3-3 from downtown, which is an anomaly. Meaning we actually shot 7/36 from 3 by players who are the ones we want shooting. Can’t win like that.
well, yes and no. they had open shots and several times did not take them, imo, which led to inferior shots two passes later. i'm sure ham was on this, as it got a little better in the second half with guys not being as hesitant when they were open. no one on our team is a good enough shooter to take a three standing after a pump fake. nobody. if you are a current laker at the three point line and you have pump faked, your next move is either to pass or drive, because nothing good is going to happen if you let fly now.
We had a few odd line ups which I'm sure Ham learned from. He seems to be avoiding the inevitable a bit but he will get there.
