This is stupid: Dwight is a good backup center. He's played well and small ball has declined in effectiveness. Also the lakers are going to face guys like Ayton or Jokic in the playoffs. Really just don't understand what this team (if this rumor is true) is doing this year starting from the Russ move
Why trade him? I don't understand. He's a perfectly acceptable backup center. I mean, who is going to play center for us? Bron with his swollen knee? Or Melo, with his strained hamstring?
always think about likely sources for stories in the press. do the lakers want to move off howard or has his name surfaced in trade talks? jsm and others have pointed out how this might happen (we offer dj, other teams counter with howard). go through the layers of headline: want to move off trying to trade name has appeared in talks the bottom one is probably true, the others are clickbait/speculation.
lakers would be incredibly stupid to trade dwight but i wouldn't put it past them to double down on the ridiculous small ball BS
Well deserved bump with last night's game 8/9/2 in the 1st Q His energy and activity was great. I think he only has one of those in him every week or so, but since we refuse to add another big, we're going to need whatever we can get out of him.
After that great start and excellent play, he sat when we needed him most so that we could play our most excellent version of small ball.
\ It's the same small ball crap TIME. It's very Lebron-centric. They go small to open driving lanes for Lebron to score because he doesn't have a reliable post game or mid-range game. It's either layup or 3. WE got hurt without Dwight in there last night
