    People don’t realise how well Russ played last year when he got healthy. He has actually been pretty terrific when healthy since his MVP.

    His last season in OKC he was a dog on defence. In Houston he shot amazing. And last year he was just a force of nature.

    I’m still stunned that we actually have Russ on our team. It’s something that always seemed so perfect for him to come home and compete here for the Lakers. He is Kobe approved. I can’t wait to see him in action.

    Ah yes. No cable in our house either, so it was KCAL 9, or if no telecast, KLAC. Dem days are gone.

    Edit: I just remembered. Back when I was a kid, channel 9 was actually known as KHJ-TV before some ownership change brought on KCAL 9 in the 90s I think
