No he didnt. He had Wade. A leader who lead his team to a championship before LaBron even came to Wade's team. This would be the first time LaBron lead a team where he is clearly the leader with no one else there to take over as he misses shots down the stretch.
Wade? LOL. Wade was the clear cut second guy maybe even third behind Bosh. You're letting your hate blind you. LeBron is incredible. He's probably already top five. He absolutely was the leader on those teams.
No, LaBron and the media said he was the leader. But in the actual games, I watched LaBron get his stats early and then miss shots and be a non factor down the stretch as usual, Bosh pull off the big plays, and Wade directing things when it was a time out. That's why I hate LaBron. The hype coupled with his disappearing act down the stretch of key games. This is the first time he's actually leading his team from start to finish.
Yeah leader is a stretch. Figurehead is probably more appropriate for LeBron in the Heat days. And Wade worse than Bosh? That's preposterous. I don't know how you can even build an argument to that effect.
this x 1000... its bad enough avoiding espn for a few days when the cavs win , but I have no idea how ill be able to handle the summer if they do, and to a greater extent like you said - the rest of our lives
So much this. People will say that we are just insecure Kobe fans but I don't know, something about Lebron has just ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way. He and the way people overreact to him have basically ruined the nba for me. I wouldn't mind if eventually players like Curry, Durant, AD or some other guys were eventually rated better than Kobe because I actually like and respect them. I've never respected Lebron and I never will most likely.
Three finals MVP's, 4 regular season MVP's, three NBA titles, his resume looks pretty damn good right now, he can retire tomorrow at 32 and still be a top 10 player, good Lord! Oh well it's LeBron's world and we're just living in it right now. Gonna be hard to stomach any sports channel for the next several months.
I would recommend you guys avoid ESPN for the next few weeks so you don't have to deal with the overreactionary Lebron talk. Meanwhile, I'll probably be avoiding this NBA discussion sub-forum to avoid you guys complaining about the overreactionary Lebron talk I'm happy for the guy. He carried this team, no question about it. Kyrie is great, but Lebron was the clear leader. I'd argue that Lebron had less help than Kobe did in 09-10, and he carried them to a historic finals comeback against the best regular season team in NBA history. Very impressive!
whoa...brake-tapping time. did kobe have two multi-time all star teammates, one of whom who hit every big shot in the series?
Yeah I really disagree with this. J.R., Iman Shumpert, Kyrie, Kevin Love, Richard Jefferson, Thompson are way more productive than Trevor Ariza, Shannon Brown (where the heck is he anyway?) Josh Powell, Mbenga, Sasha, etc. Kobe won two titles with those guys, some we haven't even heard from anymore. Imagine what that Kobe could've done with LeBron's supporting cast, woo! But it doesn't take away from LeBron's epic, historic performance and win. I can't hate on him too much anymore. I just need someone else to try and take some of his spotlight to quiet the parade lol.
You'd take Kyrie and Love over Pau, Odom, and Bynum? Lebron hit a big three in the fourth quarter and has some huge defensive possessions. He had many big shots in the past few games that halted Golden State's momentum. If you're going to say those types of plays don't count as clutch moments because they weren't in the last minute like Kyrie's three was, then by that logic, Kobe didn't really have any "big shots" in the '10 championship either. Obviously I don't believe that. Just making a point that you guys are disproportionately discrediting Lebron's performance.
Well yeah, I guess the Cavs supporting cast looks better ... when you completely leave out our three best supporting players
So the way this finals ended up unfolding was perfect for LeBron. I still can't believe this happened...wowww. He's top 5 now and top 3 could definitely be argued.
Well Kyrie, Love and Pau and Lamar can be argued. But both Kyrie and Kevin are first option players on their own. Lamar and Pau meh. Pau maybe, Lamar, nah. So yeah LeBron had a more productive supporting cast. Kobe did not. Kobe's 09-10 run was more impressive.
