I feel like we will still retire his jersey despite him never feeling fully committed or whatever.......

Whether that is smart or not is up to others to decide, but I would be okay with it.

Honestly. No real thoughts right now. His tenure wasn't as successful as I hoped but we got a ring and he helped get the franchise out of the massive hole it was in.

Won't know how I really feel about this overall until the postseason is done and we've signed whoever we are going to sign.

Love or hate, he has the right to do this....just like the Lakers had the right to move on.

I doubt there is bad blood between them, but also....I think us as fans have the right to be happy or upset about this.

I am still indifferent leaning towards happiness, BUT.....I want to see what this off-season holds.....then that will change my overall mood right now.

When he signed with us, I was shocked and yet indifferent. So I feel like I ended this time the way I started it, just with one more ring, for Kobe, attached to the situation.

    So, yeah..................

Yeah, I'm not upset at either party.

I guess if I had to offer something it would be akin to feeling you get when that rocky couple you know finally decides to get a divorce.

This is probably best for everyone. LeBron can do his farewell tour in Cleveland or go be with his buddies in Golden State and we can just move full speed ahead with the next version of the team.

I posted a while ago that even though he is still a very good player he was holding up progress for this particular team. I believe both parties understood that

Again, I don't think it's crazy that he still gets a jersey retired out of us. He won't get both #6 and #23, but he'll get 1. So he can join the others in having multiple retired jerseys across multiple teams. Congrats. He got the win there.

#23 is associated with Jordan, and #6 is associated with Bill Russell. We won't retire them for Lebron.

There will be an organically grown Laker star wearing those numbers before we even consider it.

Sounds like LBJ and Rich Paul let Rob knew beforehand about his decision. Despite all the supposed drama btw the FO and Klutch, glad it ended in an amicable way.

Guess we will see what the FO has in mind with building this team now.

i wouldn't consider this amicable at all, tbh. could have told us weeks ago, but i think we already knew and were operating as such anyway.

guessing the shots will start being lobbed shortly after he joins his new team.

Sounded like he told Rob well before today or a few days ago. Regardless, it was the right time for it to happen.

Oh really? So he couldn’t be happy here with an improved roster and taking the minimum to try to win it all? Hard to say what fully went down, but I don’t know, based on his previous comments about it feeling weird being a third option, and some reports LeBron felt disrespected at us not offering him more when we paid Kobe a lot at the end, seems it just had to end

he needed to be the one who decided to give over the reins, not to have it decided for him. the luka trade was really the end. it's just been denouement since then.

    WTH?

This guy is so selfish and conceited

We paid him well, treated him with respect and went out of ways at time to make him happy and he comes off like this

This just reminds me of why I don't like him
