at this point, they have to provide serious proof-of-life to get anything back for him, imo. he can do it, but i wouldn't be a buyer until i see it again.

read somewhere that he immediately changed his social media status to "unemployed" upon being fired.

when the trade was first made, my foil helmet theory was that he did it to polish a resume for a job that wasn't in basketball--he wants his brand to be as an innovator/disruptor or whatever. and as he mentioned previously, he's been paid more and managed bigger budgets than an nba gm. he may actually not care that much about the fact that we all think he's stupid.

Both, He and Klay are available for trade.
The new decision makers in Dallas, Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi, believe the best route to take moving forward is to trade Davis, Thompson and a few other veterans and rebuild around Cooper Flagg, who is averaging 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game on the season

this has been the obvious move since kyrie got hurt, imo. a non-nico gm would have done it this summer. i don't think you can move klay unless you take on bad salary, so i wouldn't bother.

in his current state, AD is just going to be moved for expirings, maybe a pick or two. i actually think he could be a pickup like when the pistons got sheed for nothing--some EC team could vault the others this year if they can get AD without giving up much in the way of current contributors.

    dodged two bullets

    1. Sent out no longer motivated and non alpha fat AD before permanent injury took place

    2. Received temporary fat Luka coming off injury while young enough and motivated enough to change his ways

    Whew!

Russell, who played with Davis on the Lakers, is averaging 11.9 points and 4.9 assists per game on trading block. He signed with the Mavericks in the offseason and has already rubbed several teammates the wrong way with his approach in practice and lackadaisical effort on defense, sources said.

they should trade everyone not named flagg

the problem with AD is they're probably going to demand a king's ransom in return considering who they traded to acquire him in the first place. can't see many teams willing to pay up for a soon to be 33 year old who can't stay healthy

i think firing harrison frees you from that. that's why you fire him. now if you get a low return, it's just viewed as cleaning up the other guy's mess.

and no, nobody's paying much for AD in his current form, but again--this could be like when rasheed wallace went to detroit, imo. you get him for mostly expirings and maybe a role player, he morphs back into the last healthy version of AD we saw, and you could jump into the thick of things.

bulls can take back more in salary. does vuc/coby white/patrick williams make sense for both teams? could chicago be a sneaky threat in the east after that?

Cuban said they're not moving him (kinda has to publicly) as they're trying to win (record says you suck), but Stein says something else

    Some possible destinations (speculation):

Most have been discussed, but another one on there --Toronto, could be interesting. I think if he wants to be relevant, he'll have to go East. West is too deep and the top teams aren't looking for that kind of move.

In this scenario, I feel like the Bulls lack enough scoring punch from the guard position. If they could hold onto Coby and add draft picks, that could make them a sneaky threat out East. Even if it's a slight overpay, could be worth it to become relevant.
