LABron James Discussion: The Final Year?

I can’t wait until the off-season in which we don’t have to deal with the Man Child demanding that his GM get him more help after said Man Child blew up an in tact Championship Roster.

Fools we're going to kick butt this year if healthy. Enjoy him while he's here as one of the absolute players in the history of the game who still shows those glimpses. Much stronger roster incoming.

 

Maybe he sees an opportunity to help get Cleveland over the hump, and asks us to send him there.

LOL … first the large contingent sitting in a circle doing …. “you know” …. discussing AR trades pre the 25/26 season. Now they’re back down there by the camp fire wondering where LeBron’s going …. because of Bob Todd PUNTING this year with him, Luka and AR chomping at the bit to compete.

 

In doing so you are also wasting prime years of Luka.

 

Oh good lord no one in the Lakers organization …. especially after Walters buying the team is wasting prime years of Luka. How about a proverbial “You people!!” blast?

 

If we are operating under keeping the books clean for 2027 so we can get Luka another superstar, how is is that maximizing him being on the team currently?

 

What realistic free agents were available and worth us committing to for 3 or more years?

 

get ready for a lot of crickets. how many people here were in favor of giving DFS 4/53 before houston did?

 

Free Agents, not sure if there was many. Trades? Probably could've made some stuff happen, could still even do so. Offseason is still young but its concerning we are hearing about 2027 already.

 

Wouldn't it make more sense to say you're not interested in long-term deals, so if you do discuss a trade for a player that goes beyond 2027, it can be viewed as a negative asset and give you leverage in negotiations with the other team? Note, our FO that is notorious for being incredibly quiet and tight-knit hasn't come out and said this. It's all speculation, or possibly even leaked strategically.

 

Would be smart if that is the case for sure.

 

I haven't thought too deeply about this, but would there have been any way to S&T DFS for NAW, involving Minny and a 3rd team with space?

 

For argument sake, what's the minimum type of package you'd feel comfortable with if we/LeBron agreed to cut ties?
