Looks like Kyrie is in the same boat as Wiggins: won't be allowed to play in home games if he's unvaxed.

They've got to deal him. Offers aren't going to get better. Him sitting is not helping them contend. Morey needs to realize he's not getting Dame and move on. Minny is in a state of flux, might be able to pounce and take advantage of their situation. New ownership could sell fans on their new defensive toy.

 

Did not know JaVale signed with the Suns? Seems to me that doesn't suck, at all, for their 5 rotation?

Yeah he just wanted to throw it up there like like a guy who could throw a damn baseball. Kobe did the same thing but far as I know there's no "wide" footage of his pitch that Vinnie called, to show its speed or location. Only the camera guy in close's view showing his effort and delivery .... which you know he practiced for a bit. I have a hunch it was around the strike zone by quite a bit more than this was.

 

Beal still is not vaccinated and has some opinions on it that he shared today (you can find them anywhere, to try to steer this away from debating that, I'll leave his comments out of it). That's his business, that's fine.

What I'm not understanding from the 10% of NBA players who aren't vaccinated, whether you're pro or anti-vax: is it really worth the missed game checks, the additional daily testing, being separated from your teammates, and essentially being quarantined on the road while you see your teammates come and go as they please?

You can really put your team in a tough spot and if you're Kyrie you are costing your team their 50% at the title. If I'm KD and Harden, I'm livid. I probably sneak a Dr in his room while he's sleeping and get it over with.

 

Here's a thorough read of where this whole mess is right now. Good points on both sides, of course, as far as "personal" beliefs (without regard for how the sports world and the big money that is involved are trying to best cope with this, as well as the EDICTS in certain states and cities). But Kyrie being involved ..... of course, as well, you find something like this.

Hypothetically speaking, if Nets play Raptors in the playoffs, Kyrie can't play a single game.

 

And people take this, and the people who believe this seriously? Jesus H.

 

Or the Knicks for that matter. Or any California team in the Finals, assuming the NY and CA state laws are still in effect next summer. Crazy.

rivers is a basketball general, so lead these guys "fighting for their lives" to victory.

What I was amused by with his comments is that he read the scripted line of "we need/want him back" and then spoke his mind about the team catering to him and that his actions are disrespectful.

Just deal him for CJ already and call it a day. They can't keep him and everyone spending half of every media interaction talking about him is not good for the team.

 

Hell, I have to say, if I was Portland GM, I would not make that trade. Screw Philly, let them eat dirt.

 

Embiid talks a lot for someone who hasn't won anything.

 

Ben, the 76ers organisation as such, Morey and Joel all deserve each other. It seems that for some reason I'm in the minoroty, but I have been enjoying this circus... a LOT. Considering the the maturity of the people involved, I'm also optimistic it will take them a while to solve it.
