I am glad Lebron coming to LA or not is the type of problem we are facing. Meanwhile, the Knicks are facing the double-sword of Carmello leaving or staying (ok, I made that up they all want Carmello to go). I am sick of wanting a star but not wanting the ones we are going after Howard (2nd time around), Aldrige, and don't get me started on the Mitch stop gaps of Lin, Deng and Mozgov. I think the dilemma for a real Laker fan is genuine. For all his much-vaunted media savvy, Lebron would be well advised to make his next pair of kicks in kevlar for all the times he shoots himself in the foot and sounds the goat of conceited humble brag. But I don't turn down James coming to LA. I don't turn down the people he can bring. I roll the dice, I support the team and put a muzzle on some of my Bron bashing tendencies. If Lebron comes with baggage, then I will happily carry it to his limo. Because if he gets one ring for the Lakers then he has earned his way, and I don't feel like I am selling my soul to the Devil.
This thread started out with what, Lebron taking a dump in his LA home and sending out a tweet? @sirronstuff
Im on board with Westbrook and George as well, but I would still prefer LeBron to Westbrook. That's just a personal preference, but I think LeBron would be a glove fit in this offense. A guy with his size who can pass and move? He and Lonzo might be the best passing duo of all time. Westbrook is a tougher fit due to his propensity to hold the ball, but his talent might just out weigh that. Not to mention that Westbrook is as much an injury concern to me as LeBron.
Agree. From a fan perspective, I'd take Westbrook over Lebron everyday of the week. From a GM perspective, Lebron is not only better, but he is a much better fit. Power forward will likely be his position as he moves in to the twilight of his career. Westbrook forces either George or Ingram to play at the pf spot which is not ideal. I know, I know...positionless basketball. We'd still be small as heck.
My whole opinion on whether I want Lebron on this team or not will come down to the contract details if and when he chooses LA. I DO NOT want him at a 3 or longer year deal. His body will not last that long even if he doesn't have to handle the ball as much. The player LBJ is I'm not concerned about and how that will mesh with our team. But the contract will be key and I'm hopeful that Lebron will keep his tradition of sticking with a 1+1 contract type deal. I'm just afraid that Lebron may view this as his last contract in the league and may want a 4 year deal. Steve Nash type issue all over again (but Nash deal was 3 years). Contact details aside Lebron will only make our team better and make everyone else around him better as well.
really hoping no one digs this thread up if and when we're bidding on the likes of greg monroe next august.
Why, you think Mitch and Jim are coming back ...... or haven't been paying attention to Magic and Rob and Luke taking care of business this summer?
Wouldn't it be great to watch him and these cats in some kind of racing competition on slick hardwood floors when spooked?
I got the rabbit. Too explosive in his back end and legs. He can probably euro step like a mother******.
I can see him in my lap already with a Lakers jersey. I wonder if Rabbits like Humus with their carrots?
If you fed a rabbit 100 pounds of iceberg lettuce it would die of starvation. No nutritional value. (no idea if that's true, but I heard it once and I'm running with it).
