I am probably one of the most critical people of Lebron but I can't criticize this message. Yes, the word "witness" has a lot of context behind it when we are referencing Lebron but personal bias aside I see nothing wrong with the comment. If you lost a parent, grandparent or someone close to you wouldn't you want them to see (witness) what you have become or done? I know I would love to be able to see my grandmothers face if she could read my book. It may not be much to the world but damn it would be great to know she has something to be proud of me with like that. Sometimes I think we forget that no matter how arrogant and douchebaggy this dude is he is still just a person. with that said, I also wouldn't put it past him to basically be attention whoring either. I just rather believe that it was a real and authentic tweet about his grandma. alright back to the flame throwing.
He earned the skepticism from people not madly in love with Lebron so I get it for sure. My first thought was, wonder what this one is about? which is a sad indication of my overall opinion of the man himself. But in the long run I have to imagine he has moments of authenticity that isn't linked to arrogance and self-importance
People criticizing LeBron about every little thing as usual. For God's sake people he lost his grandma and is simply saying he wishes she was here to see what he's been able to go with his life and how proud I'm sure she'd be. Get a grip. Seriously.
I can admire being a "give the benefit of the doubt" kinda guy. I guess he's worn that out for me. while I respect his ability, at my core I don't respect him because of several things including his flopping (essentially cheating), whining, and narcissistic ways. Have we forgotten "THE DECISION" ????? He is who he is. I truly do hope he doesn't end up a Laker. I don't know that I would watch any games honestly. I can't enjoy basketball while hurling vomit and objects simultaneously. I just can't.
Gotta go with sirron on this one. Nothing wrong with missing and loving your grandma. Nothing wrong with a public tweet to that effect. Nothing wrong with privately thinking "I wish grandma could have lived to see all the stuff I've accomplished in basketball and business." What strikes a completely off key note to me is that by tweeting this out he effectively used his dead grandma as a platform to brag yet again about himself. And yeah, the word "witness" in light of his previous Witness marketing campaign makes a huge difference. But the guy is obviously super impressed with himself and can't help wanting to regularly remind all of us of that. That said, I will find a way to support him once he's a Laker next year.
Highlights of our summer league and the championship game can be your friends. Loved seeing during last nights championship re-watch .... Lonzo in the middle and Hart viewer left and Brandon and others on the bench .... how they were into and cheering the great plays being and shooting and blocks on defense. You could see Lonzo really letting go and show his excitement for the game. And Hart was talking and smiling more than all of them. Hart is going to be a great presence and source of composure out there on the floor. A glue, leader type. I hope. He has a lot of confidence like all these other guys.
I'll always watch the games. I'll root for LLLLLLabron on the court because he'd be a Laker, but I guarantee you I won't like a lot of what he does with the flopping, him as a person, or off the court.
I freakin hate Rob Parker, but he's not wrong about LeBron. The other guys he listed though, that's plain hating for the sake of hating.
