PG+Westbrook would be amazing although i'm still confused as to where Ball fits in if Westbrook were to sign
Westbrook to SG with Lonzo still at the point. Westbrook is maybe the worst fit for this offense though... LeBron would actually look terrific in this offense. George would look AMAZING in this offense. George honestly might be an MVP candidate in this offense if run correctly.
If Westbrook was just in attack mode to score all the time? I think he might be able to adjust, but no one who is that talented defers easily. Kobe couldn't do it with Nash. Lebron doesn't do it with Kyrie until crunch time LMBO. Could Ball be the guy who is soooo much better at passing that he could change RW's stripes? Is it worth the chance it doesn't work? Westbrook in full on attack mode would be interesting to see though. But I agree others seem like a better fit.
we have our own klay in kuzma but honestly, i would love to see KT in a lakers uniform. like father like son
..... a taller Klay lite lite. Don't give me no s*** since I wasn't the media dudes bringing up Klay and I'm putting 2 lites after his name.
Woj talks about how the Lakers are already recruiting LeBron hard and mentions they wanted to bring in Wade before signing KCP. Interesting stuff.
We all know how LeBron loves being schmoozed. I think there's a growing chance this happens. In fact, I think if LeBron was a free agent today it might happen today. However, we've got months before we even play the regular season. I think once our momentum cools off a bit, and level heads prevail, LeBron takes a step back and lets the Lakers prove it on the floor. If the Lakers win 35-40 games though and Lonzo looks as good as we all hope he can be, I think our chances are greater than 50% which is wild to think about. The prevailing wisdom is that without a significant advantage to the Cleveland roster, LeBron is gone and LA is in the lead right now. Miami has a shot to get back in there because I think LeBron loves Miami, but LA is in the lead for the variety of other things he can do in Los Angeles (especially as an entertainer). There's nothing that would boost his brand value like finishing his career with the Lakers on a competitive team.
Lebron tries to sign Lakers...Gilbert sends Silver another Comic Sans baby rant. Silver fines Gilbert.
I don't think 35-40 wins are out of the question for this team so I'd say our chances look pretty good.
I think it's an outside possibility, but it's an optimistic outlook for sure. I think 30-35 wins is more likely and I'm not so sure that's enough to sway LeBron, but it's all very circumstantial at this point. I think the interest is absolutely and almost undeniably there from both sides.
