How do you know we’re not sniffing the playoffs? We’re seven games into the season. I don’t say how anyone can say matter of factly this team isn’t gonna contend for a playoff spot. If they play like did against Detroit and can build off it they absolutely can be very competitive this season and potentially make a run at the eight seed. As for LeBron it’s pretty clear based on a number of reports we’ve seen that a big allure for LeBron would be playing in Los Angeles and all the marketing opportunities that it presents that Houston doesn’t.
Ball movement like last game with Lebron and PG-13 replacing KCP and Nance? I think Lebron knows how good that could be. I'm not sure who that third star is though. It seems like every year someone is available. This year is different though. All the stars are clustered on a few teams. And the lone wolves that are out there (Greek Freak) are too good to land with Ingram. Who is going to become available? Someone like DeRozen? Is that a 3rd star? I think we are going to have to hope that Ingram, Lonzo and Kuz are enough.
smaller crappy contract + expiring for anderson + protected 1st = done. plenty of teams would jump at that. houston was trying to get someone to swallow anderson's full deal for full relief. also, anderson's deal is only two years after next, it was three this past summer. i think it's more probable than him joining the lakers, not that it's generally probable. i'll take the field over houston, but definitely houston over the lakers. our purposes here are to discuss the likelihood of lebron to la. discussing more likely other options is in bounds.
Yeah I just can't agree. I think both the path and the likelihood edge the Lakers. Oddly there's all sorts of signs showing that he wants out. The Lakers name has been out there for a long time. I wouldn't count Miami out.
agree to disagree. i think you gotta have on the purple and gold goggles to think the lakers are in pole position here.
Pole position is relative. A lot needs to break right but if there's an odds field I'll pick the Lakers but it's not by much.
