My money is on him taking Suder's spot. Still wouldn't mind replacing Okereke with a project big but as long as we secured Kaluma, I'm good.

I keep trying to figure out why JSM dislikes Okereke so much athletically. Seems to do some stuff sorta well out there magnified by his size and strength and having knocked down a couple 3s. Even if posture isn’t good for it. He’s the biggest guy we had besides Avila’s soft body.

Great move. Glad we got the ink to paper. Longer it dragged, more concerned I became about someone else poaching.

Huge upgrade over Hinson and Traore last summer.

Kaluma has a future in the NBA and i think on a random January night on an injury filled back to back in a cold city that no one wants to play in, he could see a shift.

If you're looking for a win in that situation of that random game and not politics or focusing on developing the more important player and worrying about the showing of belief from the coaching staff, I think there would be an opportunity for him to play over Thiero. Again, I don't expect that to happen because of where we need Thiero to get to, we have to invest in his growing pains but that's the degree of belief I have in Kaluma's NBA ability.

@LTLakerFan I'll get to that Okereke point in the SL thread. Don't want to rain on this signing with my negativity on that prospect.

Love it, even if he never does anything with the real team, he’s exactly the type of player you should be investing in. I like that we are starting to use the G-League as it was intended, actually developing some guys and rewarding the ones that show potential and growth.

As the in-law who comes over uninvited, won't leave, overstays their welcome and oversteps boundaries and butts in roles that they don't belong in?

That's an odd role for a two way, 24 year old.

i know where i work we definitely have these. i bet other organizations are similar. and yes, they're often the worst possible people somehow. they just sort of entrench themselves in nebulous high end roles, usually through the fault of bad leadership that appointed/hired them. then they just make themselves indispensible (via arcane institutional knowledge that they hoard) or invulnerable (via hiring loyalists below them and running off threats to their position). cockroaches.
